With 6450 miles on my Michelin's, I ordered a new set. I should have them soon.

No you are not. Come out to Thunderhill October 22nd with me.

My rears are far better than my fronts. It is the front edge that has disappeared. I am just glad I'm running two degrees of camber, or I'd be in worse shape.

I may do that -- it's a Monday, so it would mean skipping work, which I could live with. Shoot me a PM with details -- thanks.

:ugh2: OK- no more complaints from your southern neighbor...I am paying 4.18 USD a gallon for 93...1.04 USD litre... :ugh2: :icon14:

4.18 is nothing

im paying 4.21 for 91, and if i buy 93, im paying close to $5/gallon since there arnt very many places that sell anything higher than 91 here

Oct 22 Thunderhill

CFRA Members,

Guests may now register for the October 22nd Thunderhill event. Please invite
guests who you think would make good CFRA members. All guests are initially
registered in group B. Space permitting, guests with more than 10 days of track
experience may run in Group A - they just have to send a request to
registration@cfra.net after they register in group B.

To help your guests register for this event, just tell them to go to the "Info
for Guests" link on the CFRA home page (www.cfra.net/web/about/guest_info.html)
and to follow directions from there. To create their account on our website,
they will need the guest access password which is "l8apex" (as in "late apex").

The fee for this event is $195 until 10/8 when it increases to $245. Please
remind your guests that payment is due promptly after online registration.
Payment can be done online through the "Event Registration" page, or by sending
a check to Ed Kornegay at this address:
CFRA
1616 Iroquois Rd.
Rocklin, CA 95765

PLEASE encourage your guests to fill out their tech form online. This is a big
help to the onsite registration staff. If they *must* wait until the day before
the event to tech their car, please tell them to bring a completed tech form
with them to the registration desk. They can find a link to the online tech form
on the Event Registration page. The printed form can be found on the "Forms"
page of the website.

Regards,

Kevin Christiansen

6500 miles

I am getting new tires in the morning so I tried to use up my rears. It is so unnatural for me, I gave up after three goes. I then launched myself with hot sticky tires. That was fun. I wish I had a timer as I hit 60 faster than usual.

KSFastah 09-26-2012 08:15 AM

Drove to work in a pounding rain....pulled into the south end of the parking lot like usual and all at once the rain just quit....I said a big THANK YOU to Mother Nature and walked on into the office happy and dry.

New tires installed today. So on my drive home I turned on my camera for the first time in awhile and I do find that I talk to traffic a little bit. An SUV was slow in a 55MPH zone.

Bonus question for rep point. Who am I listening to (after road construction)?

It sounds just like Elvis but that is not who is singing. Hence the question. I may rep you the answer later. GaleForce gets one for Get out of the way I do not care if you pass me, but then go, do not slow me down.

I put the camera back today but fog, then road constrution limited my fun.

I'm considering doing this, though I have a feeling its going to go about the same: 3-4 failures then give up. Maybe I'll just wind up doing some donuts in the parking lot :icon17: Btw... I was hoping for video of you doing this. Remember that for when the tread gets low on the PSS's

Joepro 09-27-2012 05:02 PM

New rear tires for me as well, I mounted up some s-04 pole positions and threw her on the rack to line it up. Its pouring rain unfortunately, grr.
