I just say you're right mom and let it go.

Performed the most difficult mod on my Z yet....changing the damn shift knob!!!! Installing the rear Nismo sway bar was a pain in the *** too. Pics show the knob, sway bars and the Akrapovic exhaust which isn't too common.

Is the sponge abrasive?

I'm told by a detailer friend that if you keep the sponge well-soaped with car wash solution & water, it should be fine even though you would think it will hurt your paint. Amazon.com: Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad: Automotive

Nice, everyone getting some nice mods

I received one of the cheapest mods to date today, some white LED dome lights.

Holy Crap, its like daylight in the car now when turned on. I'll add a pic later on today. Super Bright.

Page 2-23 and 2-24 of the owners manual. You access it through the vehicle information display and it's under options.

Are you referring to the sweeping motion?

I thought that was on by default already? At least mine has been like that since I took delivery.

Didn't scratch the emblem, I'll strip off and re-do the Plasti-dip so no biggie, just left some bad gouges in the plastic surrounding the badge.

I was lucky, a neighbor across the street had their car hit as well (probably same people/night) of of the rear of their Honda Accord.

Some people. :shakes head:

at least they didn't bang up your paint!:ugh2:

I crawled under and did an oil change. I ordered a bunch of redline synthetic but it was delivered to my Colorado address, so just used the Royal Purple stuff From the local Auto Zone. Mine is a DD and San Francisco doesn't get too hot so I'm probably okay. I guess I'll pour the Redline into my FJ next time it comes due for oil. At least I got the filter magnet and K/N filters on there. The friggin dealer put that filter on so tight i had to use a pipe wrench to get it off. (by the way you don't need a special filter wrench to get ours off if its stuck, a big 'ol pipe wrench works fine if you have one laying around.

I dropped my car off at the tire shop to mount my new wheels (Wedsport SA55's) and tires (Hankook Ventus V12's). Should have it back tomorrow.

blackcherry20 08-23-2012 08:41 PM

I. BC20. Installed some K&N filters! First real mod (does window tint count?)! Woot!

I made a mockery of the newly reduced speed limit this morning.

I even managed to SRM down shift beside a GT Mustang who was holding up six cars going the other direction. This was to let him know he made the right choice, avoiding a true sports car like the Z. :stirthepot:

 I feel like an idiot thinking that was some sport car thing and that I needed to wait to rev the engine until it settled :ugh2: I think I'm going to turn it off now.

Well played, sir.

I put 875 miles on a rental Altima yesterday, but the Z got some love on the way to work today when I made an impressive drift around a turn in 2nd and then went WOT, shifted to 3rd for about 1.5 sec before going straight to 6th cause I was at the 60 mph speed limit :icon17:
