That's the thing, I have Verizon and to keep unlimited data I have to pay full price for a phone, regardless of where I am in my contract.

Oh well, it will let me consolidate things to one item once I get this iPhone - no more phone + iPod and will work out better when I do get my 2DIN HU.

I think the most immediate next thing I'm doing is window tint. Summer is approaching quickly and I haven't done it yet.

I am taking the Jag to work today. I need to take out a thing or two from the Z first. I can get more groceries in the XKE.

I waved by to her as I closed the garage door. We got a dusting of snow here in Alabama, so I drove the wifes car in.

:shakes head: still sad.

What did i do w my Z?
1-compared my new custom painted splash guards to the Z to see if the color match was good. Too hard to tell w it sitting in garage :shakes head:
2-replaced cover w help from mr. BC.
Sigh.

It wasn't that bad. There were icy spots in the shade this morning but nothing major. But if I had the choice I would of left my Z in the garage this morning too. However it is too cold for the bike and well ice definately doesn't mix on two wheels.

Go to Zcargarage in San Jose. Nothing but Z cats and rob the owner is dialed in to all sorts of cool events.

p.s. my rims look like new! 100 bucks per rim is a pretty sweet deal. He sanded off rash, primed painted and clear coated. Cheap fix works great.

Other shop charges 200 per wheel to put on a lathe and re machine. Then they would re-powder coat the wheel. Probably a "better" fix, but overkill for my light damage. (I only considered cause I was going to have them darken up my wheels a shade or two with the powder coating.)

JARblue 01-18-2013 02:30 PM

I swapped out OEM transmission and rear differential fluids with Redline synthetic (MT-85 and 75W90, respectively) Piece of cake DIY, though my friend's ramps on a sloped incline do not provide near the clearance that my four jacks stands in my garage do.

Left the brake and clutch fluid for another day (maybe when I replace rotors and pads). I will swap the power steering fluid in the reservoir at home this weekend.

dmhenderson 01-18-2013 02:36 PM

Bought a custom, modular license plate mounting bracket from P-tuning along with a really pretty powdered racing tow hook.

http://www.the370z.com/mid-atlantic-...l-model-2.html

Really neat. Just my two cents, but after having played with 3 flavors of mounting bracket, this one takes the cake.

Registered the Z in NC finally. Can legally drive it here. Woot!

SPOHN 01-18-2013 05:54 PM

Pulled tranny and got my new Southbend flywheel in. Ran out of daylight. Will finish clutch tomorrow with lots of other big weight savings to come. Hehe

Anyone else absolutely love how the gauges fire up to max when you start the car up?

test pipes went on yesterday. took it to the dyno and my car is running RICH! with headers, test pipes, cbe, and intake, its running at 11.2afr through most of the rpm and starts leaning out at 7k to 11.8. kinda weird since isnt the car suppose to be lean after bolt ons? maybe all the extra flow from headers is causing the primary to dump fuel? oh yeah no check engine lights or anything. running about 6-8" of o2 extenders on the secondary o2 to keep the light off. that shouldnt effect the afr though since its the primary that decides the afr right?

I put Berk high flow cats on. (Legal 49 states not Ca). They claim 80% of the gain of test pipes. They are all sweet looking stainless and direct bolt on. Not getting any sensor faults either.

Maybe worth a look.

joeyz10 01-19-2013 12:59 PM

This might be off topic but does anyone have any information, pics? on how to change the back up light bulb? I can't seem to find how to remove the plastic cover at the back cause it has not screws or plastic tabs?

I have fast intentions hi-flow cats that I'm very happy with.

You mean the license plate bulbs? I'm about to try to go do the same thing.

On the list for today:
-Wash and glaze car,
-Clean upholstery
-Scotch guard seats
-Install hyperwhite license plate bulbs
-Decide whether I want to remove my tow LEDs or not.

lol. Okay. Sorry.

Just curious. Why test pipes? Seems like HFCs get you mostly there without worrying bout the man sniffing out and citing your ride.

Of course if its s track beast I suppose none of that matters.

Cheers.

dmhenderson 01-19-2013 03:00 PM

No no I just meant for the extra gains and for the sound.
