Hey thx ONZ. So now you got me looking up prices for these online, but let me ask you this. Would you consider this a fix for something that's only a "nuisance" or a "must do" fix?

It was a nuisance, but nuisances to me are "must do" items. I have issues. :icon17:

completely polish off and a recess area. :shakes head:

anyway while i was working on the emblems i was scratching my head wtf "Ings+1" meant...

and i realized it probably means 'Wings winning'..
the logo has a upward arrow before "Ings." in japanese up is "ue".

so if you put "ue" and ings together you get "ueings" or "wings".
the +1, i couldn't decode... probably means winning by one.

not sure... anyway, the projects is done and will inspect my work when i get home tonight. :D watch, with my luck it's tilted. lol

Sorry for the scuffage. its a hassle.
You are getting too deep decoding the meaning of INGS +1 :) What if you just ask? Maybe our vendors can find out if they have time.

:shakes head: Nothing, my Z still getting repaired... been a long month.

Today I disassembled my entire radio control panel and desoldered and rebuilt my On/Off/Volume control. A few weeks ago, the Push-Push button click died (radio would not turn on or off). So, I could get it to come on by pushing the "mode" button, but it just aggravated the h3ll out of me being broken. Well it turns out that the "clicker" for lack of a better word had to be rebuilt from another potentiometer assembly. I got it all back together and it works, thank goodness! The parts aren't an exact fit but it gets the job done. If I could I'd just buy another radio and scavenge the parts off of it, since all 4 of the potentiometers are the same anyway. Whew, it was nerve wracking getting those SMT parts off the board without damaging the part or the PCBA.

Did I mention I had to undo about 30 screws to get the PCBA off of the plastic faceplate!

bkjunk 03-28-2014 10:34 PM

I had an epic failure in the Cuny tablet install. Those DIY pictures are going in the trash. I didn't cause any major damage, but I lost some serious relationship points spending 5 hours in the garage. I'll have to wait for a "girls weekend" and try again.

kenchan 03-29-2014 10:08 AM

sorry to hear bk. i hate it when things dont go according to plan or missing parts (due to poor quality control by manufacturer AND vendor) or something real dumb that messes up my schedule. hope you find some time for 2nd attempt.

I had her shoes balanced for the first time today and then took her to work. There's a cool area behind my office where I wanted to try to take pictures but it's nothing but rocks and gravel back there. Not sure if I would pick up some nails or stuff since I work at a construction company.

fzgood 03-29-2014 05:52 PM

Finally installed my Stillen G3 CAI. It's been sitting in my garage for most of the month.

mag_black 03-29-2014 05:53 PM

Put my CF door panels on, steering lock replaced and alignment done.
