If the bushings fail it wont be covered under warranty. Obviously being that whitelines are not oem bushings. Pretty bad when the tech says ya I would ditch the oem ones as soon as possible lol.

Installed the lights. I used two triple LEDs and some orange tape as a light filter so they glow.

Lights on and light out.

Sorry I know the GTR is a top performer in all categories and the launch control is to die for. But for $130k I should want to have sex with it everyday and to be honest, it just isn't sexy enough. It should be so sexy I can't get my azz out of it. The Z is so much sexier than the GTR it almost saddens me and at the same time I grin.

OH yeah and dropping my baby off at dealer now.

I totally agree about the GTR my friend. With the money I use for it I'd rather make my Z the sexiest thing alive. I wouldnt find myself as comfortable in it as a daily driver. However, Id still take one in a heartbeat! :D

I still need to reload my car with spare tire etc after a track day at Thunderhill Raceway. Extra bugs on this trip. My poor car needs a wash like you couldn't believe.

roy'sz 10-23-2013 01:45 PM

Raceway nissan sucks big fat hairy donkey balls....they dont have the tool to pull oem bushing out...but insisted on me leaving it there for them to look at. Complete waste of my time!

con-tact shelf liner in matte clear. i covered my entire front end/fenders before my drive down to buttonwillow. removed it when i got home = no bugs. the adhesive is even lighter than blue/green tape adhesive and leaves absolutely no residue.

best part is its only 7bucks for 18 inch x 24 feet at walmart

Getting ready for a nice drive to wine country and a weekend getaway. Took the car to my tire shop for balancing and tp check/correction. While the wheels were off, I added 3/8 of an inch on the front to get her raised up a little bit.

3/8 of an inch of freedom is better than none. Car drives great. I could hear her tell me "that 3/8" you just gave me was just wonderful". :yum:

It is definitely a beast (to ride in, that's all I get) and still looks pretty badass, but you're right. If you're going to pay the $100k for it, it should look more exotic.

However, when you pay $65k for it, it's pretty damn exotic.

Oh, and the launch control on the Audi S4 is amazing as well. I get to compare it to the GTR in a week or so, hopefully.

Again... from the passengers seat. :( :icon17:

Little update:

Turned my car into the best collision shop around me. Did the estimate and supplemental as well. $15,000 for total parts/labor.

My insurance company did not total the car, they agreed to allow the repairs.

My question to you guys is this...

Have any of you had an accident where it was over $10K payout from an insurance company with a sports car? How much did your rates go up?

I am 27 years old, this is my first accident and Ive been with my insurance provider for over 7 years.

If I am in the grey area where I get the car back, and nothing has reported on the car fax yet, should I just immediately trade the car for another car? I looked up the PA laws, you do not need to disclose an accident, only a change in title if it was flooded, salavaged, or rebuilt.

Im looking at getting a truck again, lol.

let me know what you guys think.

Detailed hybernation process.
That's partly how East Coast and Midwest cars' mileage are reasonably low.

most insurance companies as long as it is no frame damage or unibody damage and it is cosmetic damage ( PARTS AND PAINT) they will not total the car.. and i bet it won't cost them 15k either, they probably put alot of after market parts too.. good luck with getting all the lines and gaps even and nice paint job..

it will show on car fax when the job is done, and whoever you sell it to ( private buyer) will look at car fax and ask you about the damage and if i were you i will be honest about it.. trade it in dealership will probably cost 4-5k on trade in value of the car depends on how good of job bodyshop did..

I usually hold out until Thanksgiving, then it gets resurrected on Easter.

I love the idea of having the excitement build as you approach spring and ready to get the car "out of the cave" and then drive it again after you've waited so long. That probably makes it really gratifying and fun. Really different for most of us in the West.

Tire Pressure --
No alignment -- only 3/8's of an inch -- we'll see -- should I have?
The scuff's been there before I placed the skid plates on so it is there for good until I get it buffed out.

Don't tell them anything about it unless they ask specifically.

You don't have to disclose that information when selling privately - I didn't when I sold my SRT. Two accidents, minor frame damage on the first one (still drove and looked like new afterwards too).

Sold it to the kid w/o telling him that it had been in an accident or two previously, etc. If someone doesn't do their homework, it's on them really.

Went to a funeral in the high desert for an old friend. Took a detour on the way home to cover Angeles Crest Highway. That road makes me appreciate the Z's stock setting so much. Perfect road for this car. High speed sweepers the entire way, no traffic because it's a weekday, just mountain air, fall leaves, the first bits of snow, sunlight piercing the foliage, the feel of the road on your fingertips, and g-forces pulling you around.

Perfect afternoon.

I loosed up the exhaust and realigned the left muffler because it was slightly off compared to the right. Would've been fine for most, but I'm cursed with being so anal. Everything is to my satisfaction now :D

I need to do something with mine. I've tried to let it go for this long (since March) and I just can't.

Probably going to have to cut it - hopefully that doesn't change the note any.

Well in PA you do not need to disclose anything, unless the status of the titled has been changed over to salvaged, rebuilt, or the vehicle has flood damage. I was just worried about how quickly the carfax will reflect an accident on the vehicle.

The bodyshop I took it to is known for their work, and very carefully trained eye. They are taking care of many things on the vehicle as well that will make it look showroom new. It's just that the car will be at it's peak worth at that point looking brand new, and it's like do I trade it in or keep it. I will keep it if the carfax says it, I will trade it in if it doesn't. But then Im back at square one paying for my car payment terms.

When you got into accident with your SRT, how much did your rates go up?

They didn't go up at all, since I wasn't at fault for either of them.

The only time they went up was when they "re-evaluated the car" and called it a sports car and also found I had a ticket on my record (was going to be gone in like six months :icon17:).
