put on skrillex song (I cant really stand the music, but had to download at least 1 song), turned up the radio.. and my little 10'' bouncing off the glass in the back vibrated the hell out of all the cars sitting at the light. Made them roll up their windows..

Hey guys, I installed my AAM short tails two days ago and had to realign them to sit where they are today. I don't know if it was because I have the headers and test pipes but these things were seriously off center by a long shot. Anyways got them as centered as there going to be. Also installed the Z1 hood struts and washed her up! Enjoy :)

With the temp hitting a balmy -3 this morning, "blue steel" enjoyed a vigorous drive to work after laying low for a couple weeks.

Can I get a witness for those heated seats on the Touring model?

Butt warmers FTW.

Cleaned the MAF sensors, she runs like a new car. Car idle was starting to get a little irratic and the car cut off on me twice. Next step is to change the spark plugs.

Mike,
How many miles when you had to do all this?

JARblue 01-28-2014 10:55 AM

Installed a single lugnut for Ms. Pintsize last night after she lost one of her locking lugnuts on her new wheels.

Also purchased a bottle of Motul RBF600 from her for a clutch fluid bleed.

I need to do this  Car idle has definitely been erratic enough to warrant it. I plan to take it a step further and clean the throttle bodies as well.

That'll be fun if you haven't bypassed the TB heater yet. :)

:icon08: Can't tell if serious... I wasn't expecting this to be very difficult, but I'm a little gun shy after my recent failed attempt to change the brake pads on Ms. Pint's Z (something that should NOT have been as difficult as I apparently made it).

Are you just referring to the coolant lines that can be removed per this DIY?

I thought about doing that this past summer but never got around to it. I just recently drove the Z out in freezing weather for the first time, so I'm even less inclined to do it now, though I like the solenoid valve idea that someone mentioned in the DIY. If you are talking about something else entirely or just speaking to the difficulty, please, enlighten me :tiphat:

Yeah, the coolant lines. If you haven't bypassed them, you'll be spewing coolant when you go to take the TB's off to clean them, that's all.

If you keep the lines upright, it won't be tooo much that comes out tho.

Gotcha  I will probably wait until mid-Feb to clean the TBs and go ahead and do the bypass at the same time.

My next question was whether I need to do a coolant flush at the same time. I guess not, as long as I'm careful when removing the hoses.

Much obliged :tiphat:

DavidInIndy 01-29-2014 08:26 AM

Chased a "brother from another mother" (silver boxster) in the fast lane this morning going to work. Just for _ _ _ _ _ and giggles.

You should probably use mine as the tester. I mean, it seriously can't be any worse than it is now. Damn thing idles all over the place, only starts 75% of the time, has no pep in her step, etc....

I think I can handle the MAF cleaning, but you're welcome to it. I'll be calling the shop today to get a quote on the TB cleaning + coolant flush.
