Found something I like better on my daily drive than on-ramps.
Bringing my daughter home from a soccer practice last night. (new location)
Found a traffic circle. At the time of night we were out the roads were almost deserted in this area.
Never really cared for traffic circles in the past, but finding a deserted one in the Z was muy emocionante! :driving:

Did something kind of cheesy (according to one of the guys I work with)... Put a JDM Sport tow hook on the front.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the rear tow hook location non-existent? I had to tow my 2010 when the steering lock failed a while back and there is nothing to screw the otw hook into behind the little pop-out piece under the rear license plate.

that is correct. but there are kits that mount to the strap-down hook bracket which can be used as a tow hook.

but i doubt it is strong enough to pull a car out of a ditch with it.

Thank you.

Also, it's a good reason to try to keep my cars out of ditches.

I miss running a tow hook, my new bumper is too long and I can't use the stock location :(

In for pics of your setup

I'll use metal. And mount them in the inside of the fender.

Got my car back from the shop that did the damage. They gave me their word and fixed the font lip that they accidentaly cracked. It looks really good. The cost I paid for the brake service and more pretty much went back to the repairs. They did not make money on me this week. Looks like I have maybe 6 more months of life on this lip. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ghostvette 10-17-2013 10:12 PM

Edited my post about the tow hook. Gotta excuse the bug guts, the grasshoppers are everywhere.... :eekdance:

I was on a steep hill in the rain.
Got it up the hill, it turned the corner and I spun out by smacking the guard rail.

Need to get a new hood, new left headlight, hood, both front fenders, rear bumper, rear tail light.

it was ...awesome... f**k.

So sorry to hear :( Hope you are ok.

I am okay, I was just in utter shock of how quickly things went from a little tailspin to a full 180 and smacking the guard rail on wet roads with so much damage. Just glad no one else was hit by it spinning out and I have no minor/major injuries.

I am taking the Z to Thunderhill to race on Monday, leaving Sunday. I have been driving the XKE a few days this week and I am loving the perfect weather.

Drove Harry to work.
Admired Harry from office window (several times).
Drove Harry home in sunny 62 degree weather.
Perfection.
I love Harry

Glad you are ok. Sorry about your car. :(

Applied some Z1 Motorsports corner window stickers. Just about to go and give ol' Blackheart a nice bath and hit her with some black detailer. Lil bit of tire shine and she will be good to go.

Finally having my headlights done tomorrow. Satin black housings, STI-r lens retrofit, 6000k HIDs, angel eyes, and fixing the cut off line :)

LOVING the exhaust note. Drone is non-existent unless you're lugging the engine in 5th or 6th. Highly recommended for the drone haters like me.

drove the z to work today. I was temporarily assigned to another shop and for the longest time I had talked of my z. I guess no one believed me until today when they saw and heard it. Lots of people oohing and aaaahing over the beast. I only worked half day because I am relocating to Palmdale for a new job within the company. Tomorrow I am going to put on over 200 miles for a place to live. Lookin forward to it.

Picked up the Turtle Wax Black Box Collection and spent 5 hours killing my back and giving my lady that shine!

Great product package for any black owners!

I do not, but I am still stock height. Thats one of my concerns with this exhaust.

On a side note, just went to dinner with the wife and she noticed the change in tone right away.....then proceeded to tell me it was too loud and she hates it. My response....."it sounds great! You'll need to get used to it!" :D
