Drove to work this AM as it may be the last chance I get before her 6-month slumber . Last week we got about 8" of lake effect snow that took down a ton of tree limbs and we lost power for about 13 hours. Around here, you never know what the next days weather will bring, so when it's sunny and mild, out she comes :driving: .

I always fear this when getting in.

So far it hasn't happened (knock on wood), but it's dark in my garage, so it's always a hazard.

I literally can feel your pain, brother! I still have a knot on my head where the door smacked me towards the end of last week :ugh2: My parking at work slopes across the car (driver side down to passenger side). I can open the door fully without it closing, but my entry can sometimes shake it and cause it to close suddenly. It's happened to me a handful of times...

blackcherry20 10-29-2013 11:40 AM

:happydance: found a new "good" parking spot (on an end next to a car where the passenger door is next to the Z).

Harry and I wil have some fun tonight driving home in sunny 60 degree weather.:driving:

It looks like it could rain but it is still dry. I had three clear miles of road this morning and enjoyed every one of them.

My tires are wearing thin. Oh boy, another chance to spend money on the car. :roflpuke2:

don't ruin my fun :(

Waiz 10-29-2013 12:33 PM

Z got rained on all day yesterday and I haven't driven it for a few days so I took it to Target to get a few things as part of my plan of driving it every few days

It's ironic now that I usually use the Z to make errands around town and that normally means going to the grocery store while my Fit sits at my house

So the Z is now my grocery getter :icon17:

Anyone else get rained on? :(

No, and don't send that rain my way. I'm having my car washed today.

I had been to the track and had not yet replaced my spare tire etc, so I had all that extra space. I bought two big packs of TP and some extra stuff. I had plenty of room for a change.

Anoka is about 25 min from here.. I had not heard of Battle lake, I see it's in the boonies, looks like prime snowmobile country. We have ridden north of Alex before but I don't think ever that far north.

thinking about keeping my car this way. it's so much roomier. with the quaife diff. the added weight is not as needed.

This is the only reason I'm thankful for living in Phoenix, where it's a grid and everything is straight line. Tire wear is minimal. :ugh2:

Not near as fun, but it's a trade off I guess.

gotta hit the track more often then :stirthepot:

its rainy season up here in cali, so no more track for a while :(

Button Willow Nov 30th, no rain there that's for sure

DatsunFTW 10-30-2013 06:56 AM

Ordered some test pipes yesterday. Now before I get flame on these, I got them from top speed and its really just trial to see how it sounds. If I like them, they'll stay.. if I don't, well they'll be out of my sight asap. I will post sound clips and pics to show the forum in case someone wants to potentially buy them. :tiphat:

I'm at 20k on my rears and have 5/32 left on the tread. Plus I found out recently that they are wearing completely evenly...:D

:icon17: If it wasn't my DD, I might think about it.

I'd like to take some classes first at Bondurant before I just throw myself and my car out on a track.

:icon17: To be fair, the scallops and salmon were like 1/3 of the total cost - but the rest was almost all vegetables and took up the entire hatch (12 full sized reusable grocery bags). I'm mad at myself for not taking a picture

I've thought the same and have gone a few weeks at a time in this unladen condition. The noise is greater and I lose my sub woofer. The later being the worst.

It is the little lady who insists I restore it back. Why I am not clear, "Just get it done", is very clear.

For a DD, I would prefer to keep the spare tire available at all times. But I definitely like the idea of the extra room. I climbed completely into the hatch while installing my GT Mat sound deadening back there (see avatar).
