yah, even comes with free scratches and swirls, free screws missing on lower tray, free grease marks... free overfill. most oil changes are done by part-timer even at the dealer these days. i think they started this kind of service about 10yrs ago and becoming very popular to compete vs quick lube places. especially the places where they say 'no appointment needed.' they aren't ASE certified techs doing the work, only managed by them. not that oil changes requires ASE certification...

I can imagine this happens a lot.

In your situtation, I would contact Nissan directly to get it resolved. I actually had/have similar issues as you. The TPMS thing is easy enough to solve. I had them reset the sensors. The next time it malfunctions, they can see which wheel it was. Ask them to scan in and get a print out. If the light ever came on, it will say something like it wasn't detected, etc. You have to be as much of a d*ck as they are to get anything done, so don't be afraid to complain...and complain....and complain. Talk to the manager if you have to. Also, be sure to fill out that survey Nissan mails you after having warranty done. Sometimes a rep will actually call me about my experience. They take that stuff pretty seriously and not enough people actually do it.

The fuel guage issue is not actually the fuel guage issue. It's the fuel senders that need to be replaced.

For the most part though, I tend to think of these things as pretty minor, but annoying.
*knock on wood.
problem is that the fuel sending unit comes back as in spec on the tec 2 even though 3 led out after 7 gallons are used is normal to them. I have said this before. unless something is actually broken to a point where it failed, you have a better chance of seeing god than to get Nissan to fix something

off to the dealership, finally find a ride. apparently it is too hard to send a driver out to pick up a customer 20 min away

Default They are all bad

They are all bad.

My buddy recently bought a 2012 Mazda 3. They (dealership) promised him a free detailing. He brings it in 6 weeks later and he is told that he had to bring it in during first 4 weeks for wash and detailing. Now they will only wash it for free.
Seems crazy.

My buddy then writes corporate multiple times and they agree with the dealership, no free detailing after six weeks. Mazda has now lost a fanboy in my friend. All over $50 or so.

Not just Nissan-Ford did the exact same thing to us with our F-150, the injectors are FAILING (TSB's all over the internet about them)! They KNOW they are failing-"we will fix them when they fail"...well,, that may be in MN on vacation or in the closest town that NO LONGER HAS a dealership....
again-sorry you are dealing with this crap...

The worst thing?! Most of us would/do pay PREMIUM for great service and they could make tons of cash off us-not to mention how much business word of mouth they could also get...what ever.

They did your friend a favor. That $50 detail would likely have cost him $500 to fix all the swirls in the paint.

you get what you paid for, I guess that's how they give you a great car for 30k.

Yep, we are considered pauper (sp) class.

Dealer treatment

0-20k car: treated like scum depending if you are a hot chick or not. Will make **** up to charge you for. Say all the loaners are out.
20-40k car: treated better, but unless you purchased the ultra warranty for half the price of the car they really want nothing but your money. Might get some coffee. Company logo all over loaner.
40-60k. You get a little better treatment great loner and some kiss azz when you come in. company logo not on loaner.
60-120k: Expensive coffee quite nice lounge with a hot chick asking if you need anything. Hot chick picks you up in a hot car and let's you know that you could loan her.
120-500k: They come to you house and give you a massage by hot girl. flat bed your car and drop off anthoer exotic if wanted.
500k-1.5 million. Don't have to a thing and you have Happy ending with the massage!

I bet you they'll treat you just as crappy if you bought a $100k GT-R. Go to a different dealership. The dealer I go to gave me a loaner car when I got a flat replaced under my road hazard warranty. They didn't have the tire in stock and had to overnight it.

Customer service is crap for anything these days...period!

With a gtr, at least they replace your steering lock.

good point, with all the gtr owners buying 370s now, I am curious to see how they are treated when they go in.

I know when I had my little c class, Mercedes treated me great. only thing I was pissed about was getting a Camry as a loaner.

It really is a dealer issue. My dealer has been great. Their policy, anything taking longer than an hour and you can have a loaner car.

Free inspections for life.

Went in to have new TPMS activated in new wheels and tires I purchased. They activated them at no charge.

my experience with a local subaru dealer was the worst. it's really how the service dept is managed and the staff they have.

my nissan dealer appears to be willing and nice. hope i dont need to find out though...
