Sounds like it needed some regulation!

My first ever watch was a Seiko kinetic (I still have it safely stored away.) They are nice and keep perfect time. But I prefer the intricacies of automatic movements, even if they are relatively inexpensive like the Seiko 7S26 and require some regulation. I can get the 7S26 to get to +/- 10-15 seconds per day which is good for that movement.

I might source some parts later this year to build a watch with a Swiss ETA automatic movement.

I have had a Casio G-Shock Multi Band 5 Atomic Solar watch for about 10 years now. It keeps perfect time. My wife gave it to me as a birthday present. It was pricey at the time, but it has been worth the cost. I say invest in a good watch, and call it a day.

Inaccurate watches bother me.
