In states where they are so fiscally screwed up due to bad policies and politicians, they will ticket you for going 3 miles over the limit..

Due to the almighty dollar, the grace period of 5 miles an hour over is gone...

Oh and Good morning to all you crazy Z Fanatics..

You young whipper snapper, we old geezers rule the road...Just Kidding.

I lived near a retirement community and you could not walk through the Safeway parking lot without almost being killed by a Blue hair in a BIG Cadillac.

I walked over to yell at a few once, and the look of surprise and lack of cognitive thinking in their eyes told me all I need to know..

Don't put them on your ignore list, because they will run you over...Blue hair alert....

that's the danger of these old folks who can't drive (not all cause my pops is old and he can drive fine)...

they innocently dont understand they almost caused a very serious accident. they need to be tested annually for driving after reaching 65 (or earlier?). yes it's a pita for them but they're retired, have plenty of time. just get out of the way when we working folks are out and about trying to fix the damn economy they keep trying to suck money out of.

yah, not sure wat it was this am coming across 2 only within like a miles of each other. :ugh2: i thought the first one was bad enough, and then another. :icon14:

anyway, my G's modded and dialed-in so she handled the incidents like a champ, but i dont like making such manuvers going to work. :ugh2:

I totally agree with almost all of your statement. Yes they need to be tested annually..

I am retired at 50, now 52, and I get out of everyone's way, unless I am on the Track. I understand people need to get things done and make a buck, so I haven't forgotten what it is Like.

Only the last statement I can't agree with. I have plenty of retirement money, but I will be damn sure to take my Social Security at 62, because it is my money.

Sure by then, then will "means' test it so they can punish those of us who spent a lifetime saving and investing, just so they can give it to people that either never saved, or never put into the system at all.

I will be punished for doing the right things.

True it is one giant Ponzi scheme, but these people paid into the system and the economy is not their fault...It is the Voters fault..

But everything else, you are right on target..

P.S. I think we need to stay on Z stuff...I don't want to get banned and shunned from society any more than I already am....

Well stated, as always Zman! :)

By uneventful I mean that I didn't get caught in hail, I didn't run through freshly-applied street paint, I didn't get pulled over and I didn't scrub any curbs! Everything else is assumed to be status quo, which is sweet as Hell! :rofl2:

ive witnessed a lady get hit j-walking downtown about two decades ago. some guy in a mustang (of all cars) was going maybe 25mph through the busy intersection, he had the right of way... when she got hit, she flew up into the air maybe 4-5ft and ended up hitting the guy's windshield with her head. lady held her head as she rolled off the hood, but appeared to only suffer minor external injuries. the guy was also holding his head confused wtf just happened.

yah, it seems in their country it is okay to let kids do watever the f- they want. :ugh2: in contrast my kids will have their dad in their face if they were horsing around outside screaming and running around over people' yards, driving their bicycles up people's driveways, touching people's cars looking inside, etc.

kenchan 06-12-2012 12:44 PM

woot, my saitech or watever it's called cup-mount for my audio recorder arrived. :p will modify the mount so that it takes a 1/4" screw as the recorder has a tripod mount on the back side. will isolate the recorder from the mount using a 4mm rubber washer, might add a felt as well, and use batteries instead of plug-in power. got more eneloops (sp?) coming to me this week. :p

this is my backup audio just in case the 2 mics coming to me fail me yet again on my gopro. lol

Got it...Glad you still have Mom and Pops around...Cherish the time brother while you can...

Funny my Wife won't get near my Z/28 at all. She has no desire to ride in it..

I want to get a set up before I go Tracking my Z/28...Trying to explain my experience will lack the true feelings of the ride, and will just look like bench racing.. I don't have to beat everyone or win, but just the noise and the power should make for an entertaining video..

I was raised the same way.

When I looked into cars back in the day, I had my hands behind my back, and I NEVER touched the car with my nose or my hands..

You do not touch other people's stuff, or run around on their property...

:icon18: yah, i am very strict and believe in discipline at a very young age. i personally believe kid's bios is programmed by age 3. :icon17: if you miss this opportunity, the bios is all f-ked up and watever operating system you build on top of it, will crash. and for any programs, it will also not work as it will not jive with the os or the bios. lol hahahaha. kinda funny but kids are kinda like computers.

to this day, ive not had my kids go in and mess with my music gear or mess with my cars or tools, etc. they know what is off limits. i still need to remind the kids wat the rules of the house are cause they are kids and tend to get carried away. they're good kids though and all the teachers at school always compliment my wife and me how well behaved they are and luved and respected by their classmates.

while they get older and earn their trust from dad, i will give them more freedom, and they will understand dad has always been their best friend.

definitely get the go-pro mounted in your ride! it's fun to watch and also works as kind of like a black-box if you ever did get into an accident.

if i had my gopro wired up in my G this am, i would have sent out the clip to my local authorities along with their licence plates, just to let them know to be on the look out for these two farts. :ugh2:
