WOT today too! Engineering put in some untested software changes to the VAC system which has turned things into a very poorly running bag of doo-doo. Now they're crying because targets are not being met...

but if it's a picture of a member here who actually put in the effort to make a detailed diy for everyone, nicely finished, and unique, it's different. you can't just post someone else's pict without giving credit to that person.

also you're suppose to post a pict of your actual part that you're selling.

I know poop happens. Normally I could care less about people using my photos, especially when they are used to help other people out. In this case I was bothered by it because it is a FS add where someone is using my photo for their profit. I normally get paid to do proper product photography. Anyhow, I have seen how some FS deals go sour because people don't read the add and rely on the provided pictures for reference. I don't want to be associated with that.

Guess the heat and long days dealing with know-it-all engineers have taken it's toll on me. Sorry for venting guys.

Driving the Z on daily basis has been fun, but I've lost half of my alternate routes to avoid traffic due to the clearance. I gave up on routes with neighborhood speed humps a while ago, except in extreme traffic circumstances. But now I am finding that just being in the wrong lane on some roads can cause me to scrape at speed. I didn't think we had such poor roads in Austin :shakes head: Also, I tried driving with SRM on all the time, and I just get frustrated fighting it. SRM and VDC off FTW!

I passed on a great forum deal for a gun metal TWM Desert Eagle shift knob, but that's cause my wife said I could get the black chrome one in a few months. I think I'm going to focus on the exterior items for now, and work with the interior later. To do list: black chrome hamburgers and 370Z, black out fangs and rear valance, hood damper kit, possibly a CF wrap on roof and side view mirrors (Mr. Kenchan, I love your side view mirrors and the wrap ), and OEM fog light (or custom install LED inside the blank panel if I don't find OEM one on the forum for cheap). Exhaust is on hold because I can do a lot more stuff sooner if I wait.

Nice to-do list

You know what I hate? I hate it when people that used to manage particular POS old school devices on the network (DEC Terminal Servers) couldn't be bothered to spread a little experience to fellow teammates in need with regards to said POS because it's not in their job description anymore. Makes me want to choke 'em out.

Ok, I've said my bit now too! Sorry! :shakes head:

I feel your pain. We have an up to date side of the business and a antique side of the business combined with major reductions in skilled trades and an aging work force. Training doesn't exist for those who want it, old guys don't want to learn the new tech as they are close to retiring, and they don't care to tell anyone what they know about the old tech, and the company is so short sighted, they only care about the profits today and not long term profits...

Hell in a hand basket. As long as if my paycheck is in my bank account every Thursday, I can deal with the circus.

hey, good to hear your garage door's opening normally again. wonder wat it was, huh?

my garage door's been making a slight 'bang' sound when i hit the button to close. not sure if the opener needs adjustment or the door itself somehow got out of alignment with the opener... anyway im sure the spring will break pretty soon.. ive not swapped it in the last 11yrs+. :ugh2: ive not used the garage door on a daily basis until last year though. like in the winter time, it was kept closed for like 3months.

happytheman 07-17-2012 11:36 PM

I have no idea why my friend, although its certainly not for lack of searching for the culprit.

You feel comfortable replacing the spring on a garage door? You won't find me taking that on. They're under such tension, that it would be easy to get a hurtin' on! :)

Hey guys :hello: You, too, Mr. Bucket :tiphat:

On a side note, I just spoke to our mortgage broker, and we are going to refinance with an interest rate of 3.75% (down from 5%) that shaves 2 years off our loan and $66/month off our PI payment (also, no more FHA loan, yay!). In addition to that, we get a month's respite from our mortgage payment. Of course, most of that will go to the credit card, but I expect I will be getting my new shift knob in a few weeks now instead of a few months

hi zman- yah, my lawn is looking brown now so we can use rain here too. also clean the air alittle bit before the weekend.

took the trash out this am, my Z looked :yum:

EazyD 07-18-2012 09:46 AM

We should get some relief from the heat on the east coast by this weekend, thankfully.
Well I haven't checked in with you guys in a while.. I still have smelly squirrel poo/pee smell when my AC first turns on, then it goes away. Not sure what to do.
In other news, I discovered the reason for a slow leak in my driver's side rear tire... a nail has been in there for weeks. I just fill it up with air every couple days :o Hankook Ventus R-S3s are on order... :D :D :D

kenchan 07-18-2012 10:02 AM

hey there EZ. if it's just a nail, fix it using a plug. no need to do a patch or new tire just for that. :)
