Truth is, you can't expect to much from a 3.7l V6 as you would from a V8 period. The motor is limited in size and bolt ons won't help out to much due to the displacement. I bought the 370z because its got an interior that's light years better then that of my vette. I paid almost twice the price for the Z06 but thats because of the Block which is a monster. I am actually amazed on how smooth and pull its got for having such a small block. Exterior is really sexy might I add. It wouldn't be fair for the Z to compete against bigger blocks. Forced Induction is its only hope if big power is what is desired. If you wanna compete with bigger faster cars the GTR (Nissans Fans) is where its at. AMS GTR? Game over.

Let's not forget... we buy the Z for another reason. FEEDBACK, FEEDBACK FEEDBACK. The muscle cars just don't give the same feedback on both street and track the way the Z does. Nor do they give that same level of maneuverability. They don't offer that lightweight feel the Z provides in the small package. And though you can get more feeback from the cancelled S2k and miata. You don't lose a lot but the power gain is tremendous.
I know that BOSS 302 is probably the only car in the Z price range that can match or beat the Z feel. But its just another version of yet another mustang. Though I would buy one. It would one in a stable, not my one and only. The Z still resonates originality that other cars in the price range can't reproduce.

Of course this is just my opinion and purely subjective.
