Will you consider dropping it?? Get a set of Swifts with the rims before the Amuse front&Rear

Been thinking about dropping it, just haven't been able to decide. I'm not really feeling the Amuse front though. Maybe it will grow on me before I decide.

Tint is probably the next thing though since the previous owner slacked on it.

Congrats, now take it on Angeles Crest Hwy or Ojai Hwy 33.

No damage - just some splatter which I made sure to wash off as soon as I got home.

JAR- ive had many close calls with squirrels, but not made contact yet. :D

I usually encounter them in the backyard (or maybe its more accurate to say THEY encounter the paintballs that spew from my neighbor's and my yard). Other than a bird I hit with my Explorer driving 70 mph down 290 West, I have to say I've been pretty lucky when it comes to that - especially when I start to consider that I've put 100K miles on my previous four vehicles driving around Texas the past 15 years.

About the drop, it really depends on if the Z is your DD or not, I will not suggest it if it is your DD. PW is really nice, eh?? LOL

This is why I started leaning towards gloss myself. I actually like the matte finish better in general but on 40th it almost hides and does not offer the contrast you need to look good. I think gloss would be more noticeable on 40th.

and I believe you keep your Z very shiny too  A matte finished splitter will make it looks like an old/worn part. Go with the glossy, unless you have an opt for CF finish. :tiphat:

Talk about taking advantage of you. Wow.

CBE install should be ~125 tops.

:icon14: $400 is highway robbery! I would do it for you if I lived closer to you.

I'm thinking maybe it's because I'm a girl. Less inclined to know what the going rates are or what type of work is actually needed and done. What sucks most is that this shop was my most trusted. Oh well, the search continues...........

Yep. For a CBE install it should be 1 to 1.5 hours of labor, if that. If someone quotes you otherwise call BS (and don't give them your business as they are dishonest).

TerribleONE 05-02-2012 09:22 AM

I think 1hr top... they should be able to do it in 45 minutes or so once its on the lift

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Good Morning OFC!!!!

It's Wed and my day off, at the dealer right now to have them adjust the passenger window, doesn't drop enough when opening the door thus rubbing the canvas. Service has been great so far thus can't complain

Ms.Pintsize75, I haven't had installed CBE before but as far as I read from the forum, $400 is quite :icon14: & and I will just :wtf2:. Consider mechanic usually charges $60-70/hr, I am curious why the hell it will cost them 6-7 hours to install a bolt-on CBE, does that store run by raccoons??? eh?? :bowrofl:

If another shop gives you estimate remotely that high, just laugh in their face and tell them your 8 year old baby sister could do the install in the time it would take them to rack up $400 for the install.

Call Meineke in Pflugerville, ask for Josh, and tell him Dwayne from Dave's Ultimate Automotive referred you. They should give you a reasonable price - way better than $400 I hope :icon14:
