I just ordered the Beltronics RX65 off of Amazon. Based on the reviews it's the best one in my price range. I hope it is worth it since I will never be able to use it in VA. :icon17:

 on purchase, but I must wonder where then will you be using it?

Edit: nvm just saw your posts on the previous page.

Side note, I got a Cobra radar detector while i was in Europe and it has worked flawlessly back in the States. Cobra has bad/cheap rep, for some reason. I got it as a gift so I didn't research any of them beforehand.

SOLO S3 - Escort Inc.

I'd much prefer to not deal with a cord, and I don't want to hard wire the detector into the car.

Thanks!

Hello, Mr. Gurney. I have no experience with the S3, but have a great deal of experience with the S2. It is a very capable unit. Although I use a 9500ix now, I keep the S2 for use in rental cars and occasionally in the Juke (when my wife lets me drive it).

As far as hassling with the cord on a corded unit, I agree that it is a bummer to deal with the dangly, curly thing. So, I installed a Stealth cord for the 9500ix. It taps into the power and ground lines that go to the rearview mirror, if you have the Homelite unit. It was about 11 dollars and powers the unit perfectly. I hope this helps.

TerribleONE 04-19-2012 09:52 AM

how goes it?

My tires showed up yesterday, and I just ordered a passport 9500IX. Have the same detector in my truck and love it

m4a1mustang 04-19-2012 09:55 AM

If VA wasn't so :superghey: about radar detectors I'd probably have gone for the 9500ix, but it just isn't worth it for what I'm going to use it for.

TerribleONE 04-19-2012 09:56 AM

Apparentely. lol I didnt even read that before I posted. :rofl2:

What I did with my Z today...

Well I plan to beat the Z/28...

My Wife is going through the New car phase...She hasn't driven the 370Z yet..:ugh2::icon14::eek:

It sits in the garage under a cover next to the Z/28.. For over a month, but it has rained most of the time..

She did this with the 350Z....She did not drive it at first, then she drove it everywhere..:driving:

We just bought it with 6000 miles on it...Touring Interior smells and looks sooo good..

Car is detailed and ready....But as with the 350Z, I need to wait until she "breaks the skin", so I can drive it..Because God forbid, if something happens on that first ride ? I am toast..:stirthepot:

So today, I will take the Beast out for some fun...I need to put a few more miles on the new rear gears before I paint the streets Black..:driving::tup:

If I pull the Coil wire on the Truck, she will have to drive the 370Z...Hmmmmmmm:confused:

Thanks for the link! If I got something like that I figure I'd need to do some sort of hidden install.

Hey, has anyone seen Fire lately? Maybe the Canadian Moose mafia sent the Racoon henchmen to "take care of him"?

This would be good for Canadians who live in Provinces where using such device is forbidden. It's a hefty fine if you get caught with one... Don't ask me how I know. :p

i hate when people do that. i almost got t-boned a few years ago by a fat-chum riding his bicycle. he was coming down the hill at what looked like 30knots+ and he was suppose to stop but due to ice-mode on his brakes he missed his line by 50ft almost end up hitting me and flipping my car over. :eekdance: i was like wtf muncho, get your donut out of your arze and pay attention! this is why bicycle ridors need to have liability insurance. :stirthepot:

Here in the US I have heard that we have the freedom to call that orange flashy thingy whatever the hell we want :icon17: I'm really tempted to send you a PM now :stirthepot:

And what does the continent of Asia have to do with anything? Is 'blinker' the official JDM part name or something? :p
