Speaking of Proclip. I have one that I bought but never used. I got it for my garmin, but went with a vent mount instead. It's the one that clips to the knee pad on side of the center stack. If anyone is interested in it, let me know. I guess when I have time, I will post it officially in the for sale section.

I hope I can really make my blue and white theme happen, otherwise this will just look silly.

brucelidat 05-30-2012 04:47 PM

lol, not sure what pintsize is going for in terms of the red and blue, but those post MAFs are under the hood so at least they can be hidden. Still planning to do that blue full car wrap, pint?

I really want to. But then again the white/darker blue combo is calling my name. Wish I could just buy a 2nd Z, life would be much easier. :)

kenchan 05-30-2012 04:55 PM

driving a normal folk car like a camry really puts into perspective how crappy normal folk's cars are and why they dont give a shittt if water is sprayed at them... :shakes head:

brucelidat 05-30-2012 04:59 PM

I have a HHR today, waaay worse than a Camry. I think I will be very grateful to be back in my Z tomorrow afternoon.

Remember, I'm a noob, be gentle:

Where the heck can I find install instructions for the tubes? And YES, Mr. Kenchan, I used the search feature! ;) Wasn't able to pull anything up.

brucelidat 05-30-2012 05:28 PM

It's true, there are no post MAF install instructions anywhere. Everyone just says it's very easy and leaves it at that. I was getting some other stuff installed and threw those in as well without extra charge (for install labor, not the part) so I never got around to looking at it and figuring it out either.

I don't have instructions and have never done it, but i heard you should be careful because it's a tight fit.

Yep, sorry i can be of no help to you. post it in the tech area and I am sure someone can tell you how to do it. From what I understand, you just need basic tools and it doesn't take long.

it was weird flooring the gas and crawling up to 80 on the freeway...and also fearing for my life when turning at more than 30 mph

I've been very busy today. The only thing I did with the Z was look at it. I'm finally sitting down, enjoying my first coffee of the day

The first thing I noticed after we bought it was how floaty the rear end was while driving on the highway, that's what prompted the suspension mods. It handles the on-ramps and highway speeds much better now. Most of the time I can get the little box at highway speeds before entering now, just by carrying speed on the ramp. My wife loves that little POS, but lately she has shown interest in the Juke, and absolutely loves the Abarth. The problem is, she works for GM, so she wants to stay loyal to her employer...

Hey everybody :hello:

Going to do oil change on the Z tonight. First one to do myself on the Z.

On a driving note, I was coming back from San Marcos today on I-35 and both eyes suddenly went blurry. It was seriously scary for a moment before I was able to exit and stop the car. Ten minutes later I was comfortable enough to drive again. Called an optometrist friend who described my symptoms exactly and called it an "ocular migraine" :ugh2: She said not to be concerned unless vision loss is completely black or if they happen more than very rarely.

Don't be jealous ;) . When I was your age I could only dream of owning the car you own now. You're doing very good for yourself.

Wow! Scary stuff Jar! Glad you were able to get stopped safely. Hopefully that will be the only time you suffer those symptoms.

Have fun wrenching

brucelidat 05-30-2012 08:21 PM

Yeah, that is scary. I've had something like that to em before, but I wasn't driving at the time. Glad nothing bad happened.

Thanks guys. I hate feeling like I'm not in complete control of my vehicle, and the first time not being able to see properly in a vehicle was definitely freaky. I am very thankful that I was able to exit quickly and safely.

Gonna have to put off the wrenching for another night or two :( I will definitely do it on Sat if I can't get to it before then. On a positive note, I just picked up 5.1 Qts of Mobil 1 oil and a Mobil 1 oil filter for $35 on sale at Advance Auto :happydance:

Glad you are ok.. If you ever get any Nausea, or tingling or numbness, please see a Neurologist.

An "Aura" and blurred vision can be something more than just a Vision problem..But usually you have the other symptoms at the same time..

Mike.
