Good morning fellas. Just got done with my first of many personal training sessions. Starting a new routine of gym at 5am every day, so I need to start getting to bed at reasonable hours.

Good morning Steve. Sounds like your doing good

happytheman 05-30-2012 06:58 AM

Alcheng - I loooove me some dim sum! :yum:

Steve - I had a partner that liked to work out at 5am. That's such a hard time for me. Good luck with the training. :)

Spohn - With all the battery covers removed and what-not, that had to have been a thirty second job! Without the fuse, that's like an extra 50 horsies right? :rofl2:

Man you guys are up and at em early! I'm going to have to start getting up at 4:30 to beat the likes of you all to the early bird post!

Good morning all! :tiphat:

That looks sharp.

m4a1mustang 05-30-2012 07:58 AM

Thanks guys. Early morning is the only time that works for me. I have no motivation to go to exercise after work. If I get home at a reasonable hour I just want to watch TV or sit outside with a cigar and drink.

Funny story:

This weekend I set my Konis to full soft to enjoy a more comfy ride. Well I was really tired of comfort and wanted my sharpness and precision back so, while stopped at a light this morning, I jumped out of the car and adjusted back to 2 front 1.5 rear. A guy in an Audi next to me says, "damn man, you got it bad!"

Always modding.

Picked up a screw in the tire over the holiday weekend. Good thing it's under warranty. But, Nissan didn't have any in stock so I have to wait until today to get the car back.

that sucks. :(

hope they can replace your tire for free and no free mounting marks!

kenchan 05-30-2012 10:36 AM

hey any of you guys using lens filters on your GoPro?

i saw that there are circular polarizers available that look like contact lenses that you drop into the housing, also one for scuba that can handle 55mm lens.

i wish there were ones that can handle 52mm since that's wat my Nikon uses and have spare lenses..

very clean, mr.alcheng!

i think you can add another 7-10mm on the rear if you wanted to.

Lemers 05-30-2012 10:47 AM

My engine bay is VERY DUSTY from 2 yrs in El Paso. What is the best way to wash an engine bay? Garden hose, pressure washer, steam?

kenchan 05-30-2012 10:49 AM

i would first try to vacuum as much as you can, and blow out the rest that you can't reach with your shop vac.

then use QD to clean. i dont like spraying water into my engine bay due to all the electronics. if you cover all the harness, etc you can spray it though.

i dust and clean my engine bay weekly.

I feel weird about this too, I see people doing it all the time though.

Man, be careful letting them work on your tire. :(

Mr.kenchan, long time no 'see'… lol

:tiphat: for the compliment, especially from you, the detailing guru

I was thinking about adding a 5mm on top of the 10mm, but the tech at the tires store told me it might cause some vibration issue, not sure about his input but yes, I am still thinking about changing it to a 15mm.

At dim sum place now…… :yum:

Sticking with satin black? Getting the top done as well?

TheGreatOne 05-30-2012 03:53 PM

Still in Florida, finally saw a white 370z in Fort Lauderdale today on US 1...I wanted to throw him a wave then realized I was in my mom's 2001 Toyota Corolla :icon17:

I defintiely would have gotten this look

The wife and I are renting an Audi A5 next week for 4 days.....better than renting an econobox. That should be fun.

brucelidat 05-30-2012 03:53 PM

Yeah, satin black, but just the fangs and rear valance. I will leave the trim alone. It should be okay.

brucelidat 05-30-2012 03:54 PM

for such a large car, the visibility in the HHR isn't much better than the Z, and it feels like it is going to flip in the turns. I am going super slow in them.
