I'm sure some of you have experienced the occasional look, stare, or the inevitable ricer fly-by since you've bought your 370z! Whatever your experience may be – whether it is embarrassing, shocking or awe-inspiring, post the stories here. I've done this before on other boards with great success!

Well there's plenty of other threads like this, but since this is the latest here's what I've had happen so far:

1. Scared the crap out of myself
2. Had a couple kids walk by it while I was in a taco bell, stop, look, look some more, then take pictures of it.
3. Two kids on bikes as I passed them by said "Hey nice car man!"
4. A car full of hot women pulled up next to me at a stop light and staired at it the whole time. Or where they checking me out? ;-)
5. Gas station attendant asked me about it and said nice ride.
6. Parked at a grocery store, got out and a passing guy in a car asked me all about it while he held up traffic. ;-)
7. And a couple fly-by's by dudes in Hondas.

That's it so far, but I've only had it for a few days... Sure is fun!

First night I got it, I went to target -- parked waaaaayyy out far next to a lightpole. Probably no cars for 30 spots. Come out of target 5 mins later and there is a Ford Expedition parked right next to it. I was like what the hell??? Then I realized he wasn't parked there, but actually still inside the truck just checking it out...as I walked towards it, he pulled out and parked up with the rest of the cars.

- The first day I drove it home a guy caught up next to me with thumbs up. He tried to ask about my car, but I couldn't answer because the window tint was barely a day new.
- Customer at gas station asked about my car and talked about his old Z days.
- Old Accord with loud exhaust tried to pull up next to me to get my attention. I was approaching an exit and was too busy babying the car to look over.
- At my cousin's graduation party, a bunch of his friends gawked at my car. One was a bit of a hater and kept talking down about it and says it looks like his car. I later found out he drove a Civic sedan. O_o

Overall, nothing exciting compared to my 350Z. Even years later I'd get people who hold up their cameraphones as they make a left turn, kids walking by with their cameraphones, family posing and snapping photos, etc. My car, in the avatar, turned lots of heads with barely any mods to it. The wheels definitely turned lots of heads.

Not much excitement here. I feel like people in the Bay Area think they're too cool to be excited about cars. I had an '81 'vette that looked pretty decent in black and people around here almost made an effort not to look at it. Go 50 miles out, though, and people are much friendlier about the rides...

I get a lot of nice car compliments. The main people I see gawking are people in 350's, but I check their cars out too.

In LA, after one month I got one "Nice Z" from a motorcycle guy.

Maybe 1-2 hard looks from people in other cars.

1- Oh **** look.

Other than that, when you share the streets with Lambos, and GT3 porsches
I guess no one really cares here.

I got more looks with my G35 when I first got it.

Oh well, When I drive I am happy. so I guess thats all that counts. I stopped looking to see whos looking at me and m,y new car last week. Now I just drive.

I'm in L.A. too, I've gotten more looks than that, but I agree that you don't get quite as much here in the land of "you are what you drive."

There are definitely people who look, even if they don't say anything. I also have Monterrey Blue, so that could be drawing extra attention.

Every time I pass some brain dead driver in a Mustang GT going less than the speed limit they suddenly accelerate to try and stop me... It never works.

Yeah I have Silver, so it kind of flies under the radar!
I guess I should have thought about Yellow, but my girl said she wouldn't get in the car with me if it were Yellow

I've gotten some looks/stares from drivers in oncoming traffic. And those are scary, because a couple of times they've started to drift across the line over into my lane and nearly caused us to collide head on. One guy was actually pointing at my car and saying something to his passenger, then suddenly his car was aimed right at me. I had to swerve to avoid him, and caught a glimpse of his passenger with a look of utter terror on his face.

Brilliant Silver here..

Let's see, went to a movie with my gf... came out and walking back to the car we see an older guy standing next to the Z staring at it.. He asks a lot of questions and called it a "beautiful car".. I'm down with that

Went to Barnes and Noble (bookstore) and same thing, we're walking back to the car and an older guy standing behind it staring it down.. He talks about the 280Z he used to own back in the day.. very nice guy.. then points over to his C4 vette and says after seeing the new Z, that he's got to go test drive one.

Plenty of people breaking necks on the street looking at the car while driving around.. I've never had this much attention in a car i've ever owned.. the WRX never got any looks as people thought it was just a regular 4 door sedan.

And when I pump gas the other people nearby pumping gas **** their heads looking at it as well. Lol.
