One question, does this problem effect all 370's or is it just the '09's and '10's?

Seems like it's the '09 and early '10s with the Rev A or Rev B steering lock mechanisms as kenchan referenced in his DIY thread. The owner of my old '09 actually had the steering lock fail on him at 42,000 miles.

Yep Steve indirectly sold me a defective car....I will get my payback at ZdayZ.....Assume the position Steve

In all seriousness it sucked the 850 repair bill but with the technology our cars you should kinda know it's possible.

I strongly suspect the steering lock mechanism is the culprit as it has all of the symptoms other members have elaborated upon.
