Serious note I hate spending 4 hours washing a car to have it get dirty in 5 minutes of Chicago streets after a rain

That's when you do only a basic wash so the car is clean but you didn't waste so much time getting it super clean only to get dirtied by rain.

I have my foam gun that I use for light washes. I don't even have to touch the car. Gets it fairly clean and if it rains the next day it doesn't matter.

Talk to me about this "not even having to touch it business" (and no locker room innuendos intended here girls). Why do you not have to touch it? Are you using a forceful spray?

I've been looking at a few of the foam guns out there and thinking it would be a great way to get the Z prepped. I understand that not all shampoos are created equally when it comes to foam reproduction.

Yah, this is EXACTLY what my snowboard forum did one year on April Fools Day, so i was relatively prepared for it!

If the car is only slightly dirty the foam (if you let it work) will lift most of the dirt and you can wash it off. Usually I rinse the car, foam it, spray it off, foam it again, spray it off. Dry it with an electric leaf blower.

This won't get the car perfectly detailed clean, but if you want to get pollen and other light dirt off in between your full washes, this method works very well.

im in the same boat!

i cleaned up my Z's wheels this am. and dressed up the tires. that's all for Z today. still deciding if i want to order up the wera or not today...hummm...

i thought phelan designed this new banner up top.
