In the process of sending Happy thoughts to Hal you managed to send happy thoughts to the entire Z community. Good dead Sir good dead. |
Took the Z out to get some fair-trade coffee from the local coffee house. Drove by a Dude Bro rocking a gansta lean in a Z06... he was giving me the stink eye. :ugh2: Still, it was a really enjoyable jaunt, spring is here! :happydance:

A common driving position in which the driver holds the wheel with his left hand while leaning to his right toward the passenger seat, usually bobbing his head or bumpin' with the beat. It's a pretty badass way to drive. This move works best in a Chevy Caprice or any pimp-style car with a 3-person front seat. http://www.pbase.com/blkaplan/image/85463681.jpg |

Got my LED strips all wired up, everything was working great and then somehow while reinstalling the front bumper I broke the passenger side LED strip, three lights not working.
I was so disappointed cuz everything was looking sweet. Now I must reorder and do it again. Any idea how much it is gonna run me to get the bumper resprayed, lots of lil dings from previous owner? |
Hooded it up. Took some pics with a real camera. Now just have to get a good warm day to really take it out about about.

Mr. ZForce: update on the bro - Hal
Ok...on with scarier bit on the bro. Arrived this morning after talking on the phone with Mr.onzedge (btw Donald, glad I canceled today's trip over to your house, it turned out to be the best decision). Any-who, arrived at hospital and was given the news: The infection was still draining a lot of fluid and they think it's more that just an infection at the incision.
First let me spill the beans, as I have been keeping it under wraps as to what was surgically done (removed) and the diagnosis. His left upper lung lobe was removed and is cancerous (sarcoma). Sarcoma is a fatty tissue type of cancer. There are 17 variations of sarcoma and his was labeled leoxxxx sarcoma. The good new is that the oncologist said at this time since its growing at such a slow (6 years plus to grow)that NO treatment would do him any good at this time. For the treatment to work, the cancer cell needs to be growing and wide open and his is NOT, it's dormant and slow growing. Hence at this time no treatment. Yeh.... He had some complications (rare complications with the upper lobe removal) the lung had a leak, and air pockets developed between his skin and flesh (he looked like the incredible hulk), and now the infection. Ok, they think the infection is from the last air pocket that was reseeding and the infection manifested itself in the air pocket. So tomorrow he is gong under surgery again to remove the air and clean out the bacteria. It's good that they are not cutting into his lung again. They discovered that the fluid (bacteria - pus) had increased overnight. We are in good spirits and have an upbeat attitude that this will be the last. The doctors have said they are going to write a book on him. He will be in the hospital until Friday. |
ZForce, very sorry to hear that,
Best wishes and hope your bro will get through this!!! :tiphat: |

Today was a sunny day in the Rochester, NY area, and the temperature hit 60! Me and the wife took the Z out to run some errands. After almost 3 months of owning my Z34, I'm still in love . :-D

Good Morning All! :hello:
With my son in for Spring Break so I'm driving his Tacoma and the Z is safely parked in the garage. Still deciding what to do about the paint damage on the bumper from my run in with a curb this weekend. While the "spider-webbing" is definitely noticeable, what it's going to take to fix it is going to be a pain since I've got a clear bra on it. I'm going to call my insurance agent today and see what exactly my policy covers. I would estimate the damage to be at least $1,500 to $2,000 when you factor in the diffuser, paint repair, and removal/reapplication of the clear bra. Sigh. |
