Yeah, I hope so guys! Ya know what floors me the most about this? The guy KNOWS that if they do the job right, they're going to get plenty more business from me! Go figure.

He then went on to tell me that if he grinds the "material" down, that the diffuser "is going to get porous"!

I was all like :ugh2: and said...ummmm, I'm pretty sure this piece was smooth when I gave it to you. In fact, I'm going to reach out to the group I belong to and inquire about this because they have purchased great numbers of these diffusers and will certainly give me the lowdown on the quality of the finish.

So at this point the gentleman brought his paint guys out, conferred over the piece and determined that, yes, it could be fixed but the peice would have to be removed from the car. I was all like...."so"? He then went on to say the peice would have to be entirely redone. I was all like...."so"?

Guess what the guy did next? He actually went on to change the subject, and asked me if my new exhaust had come in yet. I was all like...:gtfo2: and said "I guess we're at a bit of a stalemate regarding this piece, what are we going to do about it"? So then the dude kneeled down and began removing the diffuser.

I'll have it back and installed in two day's time.

Thanks for taking the time to read about my fun! :icon17:

Does that EvoR diffuser get affected by exhaust heat?

happytheman 02-15-2012 09:27 PM

Not that I can see so far! Once it's slipped on it sits far enough from the tips that I'm really not too concerned.

SkiDoggAC 02-15-2012 10:01 PM

Tint installed. 10% on the hatch and wings, 20% on the front windows. 3M. Looks fan f'ingtastic!! Also spent an hr and a half cleaning it from my drive in the rain yesterday =(. Black is a Biatch.

The city imposed those things on us also. We have 3 cans -- Garbage, Recycling, Yard. I don't mind them all that much except the guys who pick them up are lazy/sloppy/on drugs. They often leave the containers right in front of my driveway, which makes me have to stop, get out, and then move them out of the way. It is a minor irritation in the big picture I suppose, but pisses me off. I call and complain but it still happens every now and then.

Man I can not believe I missed all the trash talk. I come to the forum to get away from the garbage business and come to find more garbage talk....go figure. FYI I manage a landfill for a living. It's okay to talk bad about the hauling guys though they piss us off at the landfill all the time.

We have to supply our own trash cans, but the city supplies recycle bins. I'm lucky enough to live in a housing development where the homes are twenty or twenty-5 feet part, and as such I have a lattice-fenced area to snug the cans up in to.

Don't feel bad Mr. Onzedge, I find my garbage cans not only in front of my driveway, but sometimes in the street...sometimes the lids are three or 4 houses away (and in the street)!:ugh2:

We have all the bins supplied by the city, think that's good?? NOPE, they choose/decide the size of the bins for you, one per type, you lost it or if the wind blows it somewhere, sorry, buy another from the city.

The good about the organic-bin(the one for wasted food), is that it has a handle/lock, the purpose is to prevent the raccoon to open it, however, couple months after they change to this kind of bin, we notice the raccoon figured out how to open it!!

Fire 02-16-2012 12:08 AM

alcheng if you just go out and feed the little guys they wouldn't have to waste their time getting into the bins, eh? If you make them mad their going to break into the garage a steal the car to go to McD's. Just give in it is much easier :stirthepot:

arr.... do you know how big is their family tree??? :tiphat:

Actually, once a while there's neighbor gossip about raccoon crash into garage here and there, yes, they can bash through walls, I am not kidding, cos I have some friends of mine have that happened to their house.....

Morning Mr Kenchan,

Lucky you, still 4 weeks out for me now. It is warmer here also, I could technically drive if the winter tire law wasn't in effect till March 15th

But...roads are still full of salt, patches of ice, wouldn't be worth it lol

hello, mr.thegreatone! oh, you have tire laws there, huh? that's smart for the regular-folk for sure. i sometimes want to walk out and kick benz/bmw driver's arse when they are slipping and sliding all over the place with their no-season tires + RWD. :icon14:

Took my Pearl out for a ride (in the rain). The earth has been covered in salt by over-zealous plow companies for awhile and I missed driving Zed! I know I'm a bad person for taking him out and getting him all dirty but I'll wash him up tomorrow.

Anyway, I stop for some grub and big brother showed up!

Weather in here is around +6c, but rainy, road with salt water. No Z driving.

dAvenue 02-16-2012 12:57 PM

Good afternoon everybody. :tiphat:

So I replaced the trunk panel yesterday to replace the broken one. Took it out for a drive and the damn whistling is still there. :shakes head:

This noise is going to drive me crazy. Has anyone had this problem before (whistling noise coming from the trunk/hatch area)?

onzedge 02-16-2012 01:31 PM

I am being boring with my 370 lately – just driving to work and back. However, yesterday something happened that was either cool or odd.

Driving back from a client’s site, I was on Sunrise Blvd. near hwy 50. In the afternoons, this route is fairly clogged and stop and go. A minivan pulls up alongside me at a red light and a guy leans out the passenger side window to catch my attention.

The guy says “sweet car”. I said “thanks”. He then said “wanna race for pinks?”.

To this I replied “Now what am I going to possibly do with a Dodge Caravan?”

kenchan 02-16-2012 01:31 PM

Hi davenue- can you adjust the latch or striker position?
