you know they posted the start date but not the end date... so it could be maybe 2035 when it's all said and done. :ugh2: :icon17: well, i know it will feel like that even if they're done by end of April. :eekdance:

Just picked my Z up from the dealer. Trans feels phenominal!!!! They ended up adjusting the block off plate I believe or as they called it the "collar". Shifts beautifully. Even though it took a little longer Im very pleased. The dealer treated me very good as well:tup:

Oh man I'm so glad to hear that! :woot:

Props to the community members that correctly identified the issue without so much as seeing your ride!

Hey happy, sup dude?? :hello: :hello:

happytheman 04-09-2012 06:25 PM

Hey Alcheng! Just got my front two Michelin PSS! :woot:

I'm going to make an appt at m nearest Tire Rack approved installer, which is basically Tire Kingdom. They've done work for me before, but not on a 19" wheel with a 35 series tire. Looking at the Tire Rack website it states that approved installers have to have a "touch free" machine. Wish me luck guys! :)

iSteve370 04-09-2012 06:28 PM

Got my tint done and my head unit installed today.

Hey iSteve, what HU did you get?? Pics???

happytheman 04-09-2012 06:33 PM

I live in Florida, we're pretty much guaranteed to have nice weather!

So here's what's necessary to be a recommended Tire Rack installer:

1) Use proper mounting and balancing equipment including touchless or rim clamp, European-style tire changers and high-speed computer spin balancers.

2) Employ properly trained technicians capable of safely performing damage-free installations.

3) Be an automotive business that can offer additional services to customers (alignments, complete repairs, auto detailing, etc.)

4) Possess a positive attitude and the ability to treat Tire Rack's customers with the highest level of professional courtesy.

So...with that being said I should opefully be ok. :)

Happy, are you near Melbourne at all? We go to TrickPro there, TJ, the owner, and Brice who works there and used to work on a P car race team, are the ONLY people we let touch our cars' wheels and tires. They are a tire rack recommended installer as well btw.

My wife and I actually got a bit of time from our little guy so we went for a long drive in the Z and grabbed some lunch in a cool little diner in the middle of nowhere. We saw a wicked (joking) early 2000's Trans Am gold/tan colour with a bright red and orange flaming bird on the hood. It was for sale... Should have made an offer but figured it was out of my reach. Shortly after that we saw a Viper SRT10 ACR, my jaw was on the road (cool car, rare around here) and he's giving me the thumbs up. I was like :icon14:. I don't know how many people were telling me "nice car" and "woah, what kind of car is that", it never gets old ;) Then to top things off my Z just rolled past 8000 miles and I get to share my awesome day with my fellow Z'ers here

Great day

OK new info on my ZL1. I will find out about my order on April 11th. But from these forum posts it will be a 2013.2012 Camaro ZL1 Production updates! ( Not All Orders will be Filled )) I ordered mine in Feb. so I'm sure that it won't be one of the 2012's.

Fire 04-09-2012 09:40 PM

My head is spinning. I'm off to bed, didn't get allot of sleep this afternoon cause of a house fire in the next town over. Hopefully by Friday I will know more about my ZL1 order. My Z may be back up for sale if paying it off is better for my financing instead of using it for a trade in.:stirthepot: :wtf2: :icon14:

bbigby64 04-09-2012 11:04 PM

Washed the Z today, and installed the left-side decal only, because I screwed up on the right-side decal when I installed it on the left side.:shakes head: The lone decal still looks great, though. :icon17:
