you can use Prima Hydro over the entire car and be done with it. i use it on my dd's... over paint, glass, rubber seals, wheels. :) it's a wax as you dry product. it helps prevent swirls too when you wipe as it works as lube as well. it's a polymer sealant so it will last at least 3-4wks. :tup: just use it every time you wash and you won't have to really put any sealant on it.

the only reason why i use griot's One-Step-Sealant is because i like how it can remove minor contaminants and any haze i have. :) i dont necessarily 'need' to use abrasives.

This is what I use: It also works on plastic, but I don't use it on glass cos I have the auto glass cleaner. It's very easy to use that I sometimes wax my car every 2 weeks, it does get off some light scratches on my other cars. :tup: product.

Drove it around for a few errands, feeling much better about my alignment.
I think the wheels look a little more flush-like now that I'm running the correct camber.

Decided to make a for sale add. Want to pick up a 240Z and work on it, but can't really justify two cars. Figured now is as good a time as any since I don't really need a car at the moment.

yep, it was released to the MINI forum about 7yrs ago and i was hooked. i did several reviews for Prima when they were still kinda new. Hydro and Nero are two favorites from them. :tup: followed by Amigo. amigo is a polymer based filler for pre-wax. this stuff is amazing to fill hazes. super easy to apply and remove. that's the beauty of prima.

yep, it kinda works like rain-x over glass. easy to remove bird crap too. :D

mr.alcheng - yah, ive heard good things about Ice and also NXT TechWax spray or something. :tup: my dd's have polymer treatment, my Z gets natural wax treatment. :p

Took the Z to the local Nissan dealer. They had a look at my sticky hatch, which decided not to stick... Always the case... Mechanic is ordering the new hatch springs anyways :tup: .

Also asked for a crush washer for the drain plug, this is what Nissan gave me,

Went to 3 more automotive stores looking for a decent oil filter. Purolator is impossible to get here. Finally, the last local autoparts store can get me the K&N oil filter next day. I'll have it in the morning. I like small town living, but miss the convenience of the big city.

:tup: Mr.kenchan, I did some research in the forum before I make up my mind on trying out the Turtle Wax Ice, and yes, the NXT TechWax is a very popular product too.

Mainly the people who tried the Turtle Ice says the wax is highly water repellent and long lasting.

Since I don't have a polisher, and have VentureShield on the panels, this Turtle Ice liquid wax just fall into my criteria perfectly.

And after using it for couple times, on my Z and on both of my parents cars, one is a 16 yrs old Green Jag with lots of scratches and one silver A4, I can only praise this product, I am surprised by this liquid form car wax.

Yes, it does work well under direct sun light, no white residues along the edge of the ventureshield, works well on plastic, easy on and very easy off.

That doesn't look like a crush washer for the oil change. Looks more like a regular one.

I used to use Turtle Wax Ice, but you have to be careful about streaks. especially on dark colors. That being said, I really liked the product. Easy on, and easy off with no residue. It's nice that you can use it on other trim.

Do yourself a favor and get an random orbital polisher. Then load up on Ken-san/gurney approved Griot's products. Like the Master, I use their carnuba wax and the shine is amazing.

Well, in order to be special, I gotz a box of JDM masking tape dedicated for cars. :p 36mm width. None of that cheap blue painter's tape.

Streaks created by the wax. Hard to see unless in the right light at the right angle. Definitely not something to turn you off from the product, but it just shows that, although synthetics are convenient, they don't replace old school carnuba.

If I can find the stock tubes I'm considering it. Unfortunately the ones I have are black. Wanted to keep some semblance of an OEM look. And when it does get off the ground I'll just use my existing build thread.

I read about plasti dip and then saw it first hand at a meet in Columbia a little over a week ago and decided to take a chance and try it out this past weekend. I figured if I messed up and/or didn't like it, I could peel it off :rofl2: So here's before, during, and after.

It took about 4 hours to dry completely, but I'm really pleased with the results!

It definitely isn't a crush washer, looks like a copper washer. Think it will be ok to use?

I use that turtle wax ICE but the quick detailer, the one you can use between washes or after a wash. Love it, especially when you might have some slight dust thats not worthy of a car wash but this product brings you back to a fresh wash look

I need to do a proper wax though, hoping it will help to buff out a scratch that was caused by my old money clip :(

thegreatone- do you have a random orbital? if not you can get Meguiar's ScratchX and this shoe polishing foam by Kiwi. works PERFECT for removing scratches in small areas. :tup:

put a dab of scratchx on the foam and just work the product into the paint with mild elbow grease.

The scary thing is, that washer is what my local Nissan dealer gave me when I said I needed a crush washer for the oil drain bolt on my 370z :icon14:

I did the same yesterday! It's a nice feeling. Especially because I didn't have spacers for my rear winter wheels. I now feel complete again.

Good afternoon Z people.:tiphat: My Carbon Signal Type N duck bill add on wing got delivered today. I did a really quick test fit and it fits well and looks pretty good. The one thing that I don't really like is the noticeable step from the factory wing to the add on wing since it sits on top of the old one. It slightly bothered me in the pics and does so in real life as well. I am considering either having it molded onto factory wing or perhaps getting a FRP factory replica to mold it to. That way I do not mess up my factory wing for potential future sale back in original condition. Any thoughts are welcome.......other than shipping my wing to you that is:p
