I know, I was just kidding. I've read all the info, and the engineer in me says to use the Nissan spec. The cheap bastard in me says to use a standard synthetic/semi-synthetic.

I'm no engineer, but my train of thought is that nissan spent a heck of a lot of money developing this oil, so I should probably use it. They could have gone the easy way, and contracted with mobil 1 and put it on the oil cap like on my corvette, but they must have had a reason to make their own.
