i know this is pretty much a topic for another debate thread but.......... i've read multiple times from multiple different sources that doing a "burnout" on street tires is pointless. best thing to do is either avoid the water box all together so your tires don't get wet, or just do a quick spin (as opposed to a car enveloping smoke screen) to clean the tires off. ok... debate! ![]()

With drag radials/slicks, the water box is useful. It's lubrication to get the tires spinning for a purposeful big smokey burnout. These tires respond to higher temps, resulting in a better launch.
