Sort of like the progression from the sporty 240Z to the 300ZX bloated luxo-cruiser? Right before they suspended US sales because nobody was buying them?

That article was published in February 2011, which means it was written in about November of 2010. Before the tsunami, before the global economy started back down the road to ruin the second time.

I'm always skeptical of those car mag puff pieces with concept mockups and wild speculation. More so these days.

all the info on the new 2013 coupe is unknown.... but all I can say is that the new G3x and IPL G Coupe will be somethign worth waiting for with some shed weight

They should also give a good idea of what is to come for the Z in the future.

I really hope that they don't remodel the car any time soon. I'm still waiting on my 370 to be delivered. It would be such a bummer if they came out with a new model, one year after I get mine. I don't want to see another remodel for another 3 years at least lol

Yea. Next Gen wont come out til 2014, as a 2015 model. Enjoy your cars now!
