Wow. That's fast. Now, back to bashing Mustangs!:ugh2: |
That's prety cool but evo is now running a full on drag car. Procharger and a C4 tranny.
Still cool that they were easily in the 10s with only bolt ons, though. That's what I like. |

if its doing 8's with a centrifugal supercharger (much less torque at lower RPMs), i'm wondering what it would do with the Whipple 2.3L blower... or a Kenne Bell Blowzilla 2.8 or 3.6...
|
Well Evo has one on their facebook page for sale:

Still, 8.89 @ 148 is pretty badass and they got there pretty quickly. I think for practical purposes, though, the 10 second passes with a CAI, tune, and exhaust is most impressive. |

I need to thank m4a1mustang. He told me about the visual cues to tell the new GT apart from the new V6 (used to be an obvious hood scoop).
So now as I coast on the highway in my Zed, I don't feel like I'm surrounded by bad@$$ 5.0's. I can just look over, see the front/rear fascia, the pipes, or the obvious lack of 5.0 badge (which I knew about before), and my winkie seems long enough. |

The 5.0 is a caged bull. That's a little harder to accept. :ugh2: |
The V6 Stang is certainly quick enough to take advantage of a poor driver (or a mistake) in the Z, but it's really not that close. I think they are running high 13s stock, so it's plausible that they could snooker a Z at the strip, but in like-for-like conditions, nope.
|
OK, I guess they are a little bit closer. The stock V6PP cars are dipping into the mid 13s.

V6 Mustang vs. 370Z :bowrofl::roflpuke2::bowrofl::roflpuke2::icon17: |
Everyone is butthurt in the 370Z vs. Titanic thread. :icon18:
|
Hey, not my fault the Titanic is better than a 370z.

Definitely a head turner. They went to the bottom of the sea to check it out! Even made a movie that had boobies in it!

Wait! What age group did the magazine article say should be driving the Titanic?!? And you would you measure performance? 0-sinking? Time to quarter mile (ocean depth)? Seat bolstering (which probably makes a difference when the vehicle makes a gradual but extreme shift from horizontal to vertical)?

Anybody read the recent issue of MotorTrend? it has a review of the Boss in there, and they're claiming a 0-60 of 4.1 and a price estimation of 40-45k, but damn, 4.1 seconds, that sick!
