Pretty sick Mustang. I bet thats not a cheap setup. ;)

Red370 10-17-2010 08:25 PM

no car that runs under 10 second passes is cheap, sponsors help out alot, and thats a shop car, so I dont think its hurting their pockets too much.

theDreamer 10-17-2010 08:27 PM

Not at all, because everything they do to that car they sell another 10 or 100 to Mustang owners who want the same thing.

m4a1mustang 10-17-2010 08:27 PM

Haha yeah, that's a business expense right there. ;)

I'm sure Pro-Formance and Procharger give them parts at cost or even cheaper since they get a good bit of advertising benefit out of it.

Red370 10-17-2010 08:35 PM

I just rubbed one out watching that video for the 10th time. Stupid erection inducing nasty stupid sexy kona blue boner maker.

I saw a guy in a stock 370z beat that time. The secret is to get the 7AT, which is faster, then turn off VDC (and sacrifice a goat to the devil so that you don't crash), install the GTR start button and Miata Doors, and then, and this is the most important part, you have to affix a "VTEC" sticker somewhere on the vehicle.

I call BS. No way you'd be able to get any traction with a VTEC sticker.

That is why you put the GT-R button, GT-Rs have zero problems with traction and transmission issues so you are golden.

Well, he was running slicks in perfect weather conditions, WOT, 10/10ths, iirc imo ie ergo sum.

West Covina Nissan is working on a double GTR start button assembly for the 5.0.

Red370 10-18-2010 11:14 AM

ya know, I was just thinkin, how badass would that be? an engine where you can shut cylinders down at random to conserve fuel, and then all out juice with the flick of a switch. hmm...

m4a1mustang 10-18-2010 11:14 AM

Some engines already do that.

i'm not talking about the hemi tech shyt, i'm talkin, any cylinder, pick one, shut it off. One not controlled by the ECU, one that can be selected in the cab.

It's how the C6 Z06 achieved 500hp without requiring a "gas guzzler tax".

Red370 10-18-2010 11:17 AM

those are ecu controlled.

Red370 10-18-2010 11:18 AM

I'm sayin a toggle switch for each cylinder, when you wanna drive across the country on a tank or two, kill 5 cylinders and cruise on 3.

Not a bad idea. Don't know if it's difficult or practical. But once you've hit cruising speed, it doesn't take much to keep it going, especially in the flatter portions of our highway system.

Red370 10-18-2010 11:24 AM

So what do yall think about that new Juke? i've been lookin pretty hard at that thing, and I dont hate it. AWD and Turbo'd, and can be had for 20k, damn cool grocery getter if you ask me.

Red370 10-18-2010 11:26 AM

Direct Injected Turbo, imagine with a boost controller... this thing could make 300whp easy.

I ******* love the Juke! I'd love to have one as a DD.

Think it's pretty cool. Kinda ugly, but I hear it's fast. It's like a male Cube, since they couldn't market the Cube to enough wimmenz.

Red370 10-18-2010 11:30 AM

its unique and starting to grow on me.

Some genius would screw it up and snap the crank. You have to think about balance/harmonics.

You can't turn off cylinders one by one without screwing up you engine. At least not easily.

too small and I saw a pic of the interior with a driver in it and he was sitting real high compared to the steering and his arms were sloping way down to reach the steering wheel. Its a cheap car Im sure. Rogue is better.
