If they do come out with a 429hp sports car,they should design it from the ground up instead of an after thought to fill a segment. I would like to see what Hyundai can do with more time and r&d. It seemed like they rushed the Genesis Coupe to market to keep the steam going. If they go through with it, it's a win for car enthusiast. All that you are seeing from Hyundai today is in preparation for a new "luxury" brand in 4-5 years when the second generation of Genesis Sedan and Coupes come along.

I wouldn't expect the V8 to make it in this current generation.

Yeah Hyundai is going to drop a V8 into a car when nearly every other brand is looking at hybrid and/or diesel sportscars. Even German manufacturers (M & AMG-series) are moving from V8's to twin turbo V6's. Wishful thinking for future Hyundai owners...
