I hear ya! I was running on fumes myself as we were at the hospital all day with my daughter and her husband. They were having our first grandchild (grandaughter). Woot... I am too young to be a "Big Da".
XXX-MiniVan Parking-XXX Hang in there bro! Hope she is feeing better and up and around soon!!! So this isn't a total thread jack... I moved the Zs out of the garage to get to the lawn mover and such so I can get my cores done early to day and possibly work on my front 15mm spacers this evening. |

Mr. Kenchan, I am happy your wife is better.
|
It's been 2 weeks since I've driven my car:mad:
I'm picking it up today...and it's going straight into my garage since it has no exhaust. It's SO loud! The whole interior rattles. I ordered a 3" HKS titanium muffler yesterday and should have the custom exhaust done next week. |

Beach you can store a couple extra depends behind the seat. Actually I realized that I'm old enough to have grandkids (44). Thank god I'm single without rug rats LOL:tup: Soo Beach what kind of camera are you going to use to take pics of the new one? :stirthepot: There aren't enough camera posts here already, right Ken?:leghump:
|
Sent the car to Nissan to get the fuel sending units replaced. Maybe I won't run out of gas now when I have 50 miles left on the tank!

Yeah, I only have a couple of years on you. Can't imagine how you have dodged the bullet this long. Geeez, at least he didn't mention the "M" word. I think there are more Mustang threadjacks than Photography threadjacks. :stirthepot: I shoot a D3. My wife and I have a photography business on the side. |
Soo you have an alterior motive Beach. Sell Ken a good camera.:stirthepot: For me there are two M words, marrige(funeral) and mustange(rustange)

To make a long story short, I went to pick up the car today after being told the tire would be patched on Monday... STILL a flat tire! That's 80 miles of driving and a planned photoshoot wasted. |
:shakes head:That sux. Or should I say they sux. I'd be sure to tell everybody in your area what happened. They should have fixed the tire on Thurs. or sent it to a tire shop to fix it. It would only take a few minutes for a tire shop to fix it. I would think the shop would take a little initiative and get it fixed before you showed up the first time.
|
Yah, unless the shop doesn't have tire mounting equipment that sounds pretty lame.
Althought I would never trust dismount/mounting tires anywhere local other than a few places near me. |

@Ken- I think that is a perfect starter DSLR. You will have a lot of fun with it. Some of my favorite shots that I have ever taken were with my D50.
@Intrigue- Sorry about your issues. Some of my biggest headaches have surrounded tire mounting... even on my TwinTurbo when I put the 18s on it. @Fire- I try not to be too biased. I love the images that Canon DSLRs produce and they have awesome glass. I just find that the menus and controls on the Nikon are easier for a new shutterbug to pick up on. More intuitive if you will. Well here is the update part. I got up this morning and installed my front spacers. The car is at the final stance with the exception of rear camber adjustment. That will probably happen next week with the installation of new rear tires. Hmmm, somehow the fronts look new and the rears are toast. Guess I neet to keep the VDC on more often. :ugh2: Here are a couple of quick shots... http://www.the370z.com/members/beach...-15mm-20mm.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/beach...-15mm-20mm.jpg |
