Some like to use Dawn.

kenchan 10-30-2011 05:45 PM

i use a product called Griot's PaintPrep. i dont use dawn or any dish soap.

in my case after washing the car (or QD), i mist the panel with water, then spray paintprep, followed by another mist of water and wipe off with a soft MF towel. it completely removes any sealants or wax. i do that panel by panel as i polish or wax/seal the paint.

Bridjit curb ramps went in today. I thought I would get away with 2 sections and it will likely work width-wise but tomorrow I am going to order the center section as well for 12 feet total to provide a bigger area to aim my entry andexit. The ramps work great. Swifts next Saturday.

They weigh more than 100 pounds and are not easy to move. I am probably going to bolt them down, but the guy at Brigjit told me he has never heard of them getting stolen. With the midddle section they will weigh more than 150.

Ooh, bigdog, sounds great man!

You haven't taken any sound clips by chance have you? You're just running the CBE right now, right? I'm interested in hearing some in-cabin and drive by clips under normal driving conditions. I ask this because everyone else takes clips where they scream by at 4-5k rpm. I've heard that a bunch already and want to know how it sounds in normal conditions.

Keep up the good work.

Ps. Also curious how well you do with the Swifts now that you've got the low hanging cans of the FI. that's such a sick setup!

Here's a video of my setup in normal driving conditions with a few WOT pulls here and there. This is the FI 12" resonated cat-back with Berk HFCs.

nice!

id like to get one too, but our HOA would have a field day with that on my driveway. :rofl2:

the last warning went out to the parents of a teen that littered the visitor's lot with loud music and empty snack bags around 10pm. bonehead. i hate folk that rent and show no respect to the community. :ugh2:

Thanks, Mr. Kenchan. I ordered the middle section this morning.

Yeah, although we don't have an HOA, the few renters in our little neighborhood don't seem to repsect the way things should be either. If we did have an HOA I am sure that, with the kind of stuff we do with various cars, I would see them regularly goose-stepping up my driveway, ticketbooks in hand, ready to take us kicking and screaming to the re-education camps.

Masa 10-31-2011 01:10 PM

Public schools were out today around here for some reason. No traffic means Altima stays home and Z comes out for the work commute. :)

Picked up my track numbers for my track day. Now I got to take the time to put them on when my patience is great.

By the way my XP8 pads are great. Can't wait to track then too.

thetaste 10-31-2011 02:28 PM

Well............ I'm a big supporter of rationally-enforced HOA rules. However, after spending the past four months living next door to Eva Braun, I can see where folks can become a bit stand-offish.
