I glanced over at a coil of leftover vacuum hose, then at the Z, then back at the hose, then the Z again.

My gears started turning and before I knew it I was mutilating the stock airboxes.

That little plug in the top pic is for the airbox resonators that my 2010 doesn't have. I'll make a diy this weekend if anyone's interested.

I don't know how I ever missed the fang vent DIY! Just found it.

What Modshack did was route fresh air directly to the main inlet of the airbox.

All I did was route extra air to the airbox via a hole meant for the airbox resonator. This requires a smaller dia hose (1.5in ID). My original intention was to bring the hose to the front slats of the bumper similar to Modshack's idea. But in the end, I decided that when the car is moving, the air just inside the bumper would be every bit as cold as the air outside (or a negligible difference at most). Pics on previous page.

Someone should do BOTH!

Took it to Costco to pick up some prints from their photo lab.
Parked next to a stock Monty Blue Sport. It looked like a Z "All Road" next to mine.

Lol, nuthin' wrong with an all stock Z! This is the first time in a long while I've owned a 100% stock car (going on 2 weeks now). I'm fighting off that mod bug as long as I can...

Give in and start modding. Lol I fought to stay stock too but that only lasted a year. As soon as I bought my first mod it was all over. Now modding my Z is all I think about and I spend every last penny doing it. Wait, maybe you SHOULD hold off It really is an addiction. Well worth it though, my Z is far better than stock right now, I absolutely love it

I had my exhaust picked out before I even bought the car. Ordered that the day after I bought the car. Had it tinted within 3 days and two weeks later it had a rear fog light. After that, the rest is a blur.

Went to tom to get my exhaust welded.

But mostly because my dad got his blow-off valves installed and CoBB accessport tuned.

BUT normally he was supposed to go to dyno and get tuned that way but while we were dismanteling the piping needed to place the blow-offs we discovered that the right turbo has started leaking oil.

So tom told us to go to our dealership and try to get new turbos under warranty BEFORE he installs the accessport.

Went to dealership. new turbos are on their way....somehow it went easier than thought.

Pictures of the oil.

According the the accessport the GT-R has about 530 HP now after the standard map.

Now my dad ordered HKS their race suction airintake kit

So next week those will get installed and then the car will get put on a dyno and completely custom tuned. delicious.

I knew that I would be doing springs, sway bars, intake and exhaust before I bought it. Turns out, I needed many more mods than those.

Changed my oil, bleed the clutch, check tire pressure, brake inspection, and washed car. I also removed the OEM plastic grill mesh on the front clip. Pics to come later this week.

I'm going to plasti-dip (or what ever you call it) the middle section soon and most likley put some sort of mesh insert in replacement of the OEM setup. So it was a good day.

I am happy that you seemed to have solved the trannny issue also.
