I picked up a good bit of vinyl. You'll have to wait and see what I do with it.

It's nothing weird or perverted is it? I have a couple of friends into vinyl and they do really odd stuff with it. :icon14:

Water-less takes me about 30 minutes. I've always averaged around 45 minutes from the time I drag out the hose to the time I reel it back-up. Plus with water-less, no drips to re-dry from the mirrors and other crevices after pulling the car back in the garage.

That all being said, a true-uber cleaning requires a bucket of suds and a hose.

I use my shop vac in blower mode to get the water out of the nooks. Makes drying very quick. :)

Motored my Z this am. :p was a tad misty but car did not get too dirty. QD'ed the front of the car and cleaned the glass. Hope to motor her again tomorrow. :D

Drove it to work today (day 2 of a ten day vacation).

Looks like day 5 will get "interrupted" too.:mad:

Well, at least it pays for the mods! :ughdance:

Did my first couple small mods to my 40th that I picked up a couple weeks ago.

1) Replaced the clutch helper spring with a softer spring. The engagement is noticably better.

2) Installed the GT-R start button. During the process I went ahead and painted the silver trim peice flat black. The fusion ultra flat camo paint is what I used and it happens to be a perfect color match to dash peice. It looks so much better than the "Target" circle within circle look.

Then I took it for a drive and finished off with a washing.

I will get pics up within a few days of the painted trim around the GT-R start button as I left my camera at the office.

^^ A good start, Srenity.

I had a nice drive to the beach and had a surf session.

The Leather Food cleaner I posted last night really refreshed the leather parts on my interior and it makes my Burnt Orange seats really pop!

I would really recommend it to anyone since it actually softens the leather and helps prevent premature cracking.

Amazon.com: Manchester Leather Food: Sports & Outdoors

Back in the day I used to use a similar product on my Doc Martens and it kept them looking pretty good.

Just be sure to watch how much you use, the stuff is pretty sticky!

I will recently picked up a leather conditioner that came highly recommended. It says to leave it on overnight so I will probably be trying it out tonight and leaving it until tomorrow!

Thanks!

I'm actually more satisfied with what it did to my steering wheel, it really brought it back to near-new condition.

I will still use the leather conditioner/cleaner that I have and finish it off with this product.

Wash and QD. 1 1/2 hrs for traditional wash and QD. Whew! Gotta get this whittled down during these short winter days.

Beginning to take a closer look at waterless wash products. Optimum Opti Clean, Ultimate Waterless Wash Plus and Griots Spray on Car Wash.

Oh yeah, Adams Waterless Wash...checking that out too.

Waiz 11-20-2011 03:07 PM

Car is being washed by Mother Nature today, I'm glad I didn't wash her yesterday like I was planning :icon17:

waizz- seat's looking good!

yah, MBP WTF! :p i hate pc's. been using countless crap for years and will never match the performance of my macs. i have one of the faster i7 notebooks at work and it's performance is less than my imac from 10yrs ago. lol. and so f-king unstable cause MS keeps dumping shitto into it it's a pos unless i keep maintaing it.

on the otherhand, my i5 MBP i got early summer is running very smooth and quick with absolutely no problem.

so today i motored my Z and found that the power tap i recently replaced for the rear view camera a few months ago has gone to intermittent crap again (2nd time) so i pulled out the HU and soldered the wire this frikken time. :D

Have you ever heard of the Leather Food conditioner I posted? Someone with a G Sedan told me about it and I'm surprised I didn't know about it before.

Just be careful using that stuff regularly. Leather used in almost every modern car is actually coated with a "clearcoat" for leather, this is what you are cleaning and protecting. Leather Food is made for uncoated leather which you can only really find in Rolls Royce and other ultra high end cars, but in the long run might damage the coating on coated leather.

Good to know, I will use it sparingly!
