Im having no wear issues after a few months of spirited street use. Some need the kit, some dont. Im not back to stock settings but close. A little extra camber never hurt anyone:)

Crap, sorry. I meant to mail those with the springs. They're still sitting in the hall closet.

To be fair, my tires were toast before I put the Swifts on. I just finished them off the last month or so. My driving style is not conducive to prolonged rear tire wear to begin with. :driving:

Did you align before the camber kit and saw the need for one?? If so how far out were you prior to adjustment via camber kit?

Especially with most of the new crew. I've become pretty disenchanted with the forum for the most part (no one in here), nice to see real people around. Makes me want to do something nice.

Well for all that expressed interest in getting in on a group buy for the clutch helper springs, here's your opportunity.

I installed my camber kit the same day I had my new rear tires mounted. My camber wasn't crazy before I installed the kit but I didn't put it on the rack to check the actual numbers before I did the install. I planned to but my buddy's shop was slammed the day I did it so I did the install at the house and eyeballed it, then drove it up there and helped him do the alignment.

I've spent the past 3 evenings claying my car... it got COVERED in overspray from when my friend who was redoing my intake piping. He was spraying his valve cover and didn't realize a window was open and was blowing all over my car:eek:

So I finally finished tonight. Clayed the entire car and wheels and put a coat of wax on. Then I boosted the crap out of it...hitting 12.4 psi :driving:

Shirley you cant be serious

I painted my door handles metallic black today using Paintscratch.com touch up spray. Hopefully it holds up.. I used adhesion promoter, rubberized primer and 6 coats of clear. We shall see!

I used Paintscratch a couple years ago to touch up a red metallic car and it actually matched perfectly and has held up well. The mBlack looks spot on again but I won't know for sure until I compound and buff in a few days. Will post pics

I was just about to say...post up some pics, man! :tiphat:

I'm back with electricity and typing on a computer, so hopefully I won't get trashed by any n00bs from NJ again.
Been motoring the crap out of my Z as the post-Irene weather has been spectacular around here.

About to order my RE-11's and schedule mounting, balancing, oil change, inspection and NAV update. That will be a fun bill to pay.
Hopefully they can get the real canberra close to spec without a kit.

Joining the group buy for the clutch helper spring.

Glad to hear you got your power back. Amazing how much we take it for granted and how nice it feels to get back to some semblance of normalcy. Hope all is well up there for you and your family.

After Katrina we went 16 days without power during a period of 95°+ and 100% humidty weather. That was not fun, especially when dealing with damage and clean-up.

It is only Thursday yet it feels like a Friday -- not a good sign. It serves me right for taking a Tuesday off.

Have fun with your hard drive. :tiphat:

:icon18: i should call in well too... :D but i think the roads are going to be pretty busy anyway with college kids coming back from first week(s) of class so i will just go to work. :icon14:

hummm... i already messed up my install onto the new harddrive while trying it out during lunch.. :icon17: crap, i need to redo the directories, delete, and start over so that i dont kill my soft-license key inside my ringo (mac) for my steinway samples...

gurneyeagle 09-01-2011 03:13 PM

Fitted my carbon fiber fang from the Z Store. I may remove it and add a lot more double-sided tape than came with it just to be safe. Its got a little warpage to it, so sits just off the surface in few places.

It does look nice.

Speaking of the Z Store, my EVO rear light came in today. I may tackle that project over the three day weekend.

kenchan 09-01-2011 03:32 PM

gurney- sounds good. yah, they all dont fit 100% perfect but that's a good idea to add some tape where it might feel loose. i used 3M VHB tape on mine and it's on there for good... maybe permanently... :D

Fire 09-01-2011 03:39 PM

OK Ken what is the difference between "for good" and permanently LOL You do have your own language:tiphat: I'm going to the local cruise night tonight if it doesn't rain before then. :driving: After I will stop at the ice cream stand:yum:

well i meant it for the fang cover as an option to be there for good as i decided it to be there because how awesome it looks on the car.

but then VHB doesn't really let you pull it off unless you REALLY try to pull it off potentially breaking the fang while removing it so this may end up as a permanent option whether i like it or not. the tape has decided for me what i like. :icon17: that's wat i meant in my short lazy post.

Also finally got a hold of Nick at THMotorsports and bought the SPC rear camber kit at a great price, Thanks Nick! :tiphat:
