hummm... the picts look pretty good on my droidx's screen but when i look at them on my pc (including the larger TN display) it looks over exposed. it was pretty cloudy so only used my UV lens.

also saving the pict here on this site compresses it significantly more.... where should i host my picts?

should i have used my ND filter?

i think i should have also used my tripod...(?) was looking like it was going to rain so kinda make a quick snap session. since it wasn't too dark i didnt think i would need my tripod using automode...

any tips would be great, thanks! :D

Got yelled at this morning by two old ladies who were standing in the street chit-chatting. I got the full-on "slow down!" complete with shaking fist.
I was coasting through my neighbourhood at 20mph.
I'd bet money that my speed might not have seemed so egregious if these ladies had chosen to have their conversation on the sidewalk or their front porch.

Well I was going to ask if it was your exhaust, but from what I can tell you haven't changed that up so far, right? Haha, you should have turned 'round and blipped 'em with an SRM downshift (or heel and toe for non SRM)!

Hey Ken your gonna need some editing software. Even a real simple program can turn a so-so shot into something pretty damn nice. I posted this a few pages back, it wasnt a great shot at all until I did a quick edit....

I had this happen not to long when a older man was standing in the middle of my lane talking to another. The catch is it was just over the other side of a hill. I wouldn't of saw him if the car in front of me didn't pull out of a driveway and then stop. But he choose to say something to me. I was basically stop. Now I always down shift when passing his house. I know, I'm a a$$.

Today, I got rebuilt SU's and manifold ready for install into the 240. Those shiny things with domed tops are called "carburators" and it how us old folks used to mix gas and air.

No, but they don't appear very crisp..which is what G2Z and Alchemy are able to produce with editing software.

I must say though....

Unless you are going for that type of look, you shouldn't need to rely on editing software to produce quality images. It can enhance, yes but it doesn't make the photo 99% of the time.

You definitely would not have needed a tripod, there was plenty of light and the shutter speeds were fast enough to avoid camera shake. When you take a picture, exhale right has you press the shutter button. It is the same principle as the breathing technique shooters use to gain accuracy.

Also, over cast days make it much harder to correctly expose all areas of the photo and subject so there is not as much you can do there. Try shooting in aperature priority mode and play around. Just keep shooting and try to crouch down and shoot the car from a lower viewing angle. You will get the hang of it!

PapoZalsa 07-16-2011 07:45 PM

Went to Cars & Coffee and then to a Z/G cruise and lunch.

Yah, I definitely need to experiment more for sure! Thanks for letting me know how the images appeared on your screen. With the lost resolution it appears quite a bit fuzzy vs the originals I have. I need to make the size smaller without loosing resolution before uploading at the370z...

Thanks on the car. :p

I perfomed a quick wash on the 370. I admire how well it turns out, especially with a few coats of Meguiars Ultimate to make the washing easier. So, I had to play with some wide angle shots.

Gotz my camera all charged up. Will try more snaps tomorrow using aperture priority and see where it takes me. I might try the other filters too if its sunny tomorrow.

These compensations and stuff is just like recording audio and playing them on different devices. The flattest most neutral recording wins. :D

Saahweeet!
I remember those days. Had a BMW 3.0s with twin Webbers that I could never get synched.

Now that I'm considering my Z "done (for now)", I can get back to tinkering on my Miata. This is what's next:
