Drove it to work today.. It sure is responsive when it's 25F outside..

USMCASA 02-10-2011 09:30 AM

yeah the z loves low 30's temps. labor day when it was in the 70s around here i took my z to the dragon and it got sluggish after some spirited driving and heating up.

TypeOne 02-10-2011 12:36 PM

I drove mine... to the dealership.

Airbag light came on and wanted to get my rear hatch springs replaced under warranty.

I want it back!

Sibze 02-10-2011 12:41 PM

I again, did nothing. Still parked :( Damn snow

kenchan 02-10-2011 12:45 PM

3 more weeks to go for me until i pull her out. :p

xiven 02-10-2011 01:25 PM

I feel you buddy

Basically I went downstairs. I opened the hatch, then closed it. I opened the hood, shined it up although its already spotless. Started it, revved it, then shut it off. Pretended I was steering...then locked it up and walked away all slow and sad...:(

this wait is killing me, I hope March 15th is good outside.

Hahah. "Pretended I was steering...then locked it up" sounds like you weren't double clutching like you should be.

Nismoracer 02-10-2011 03:33 PM

Smoked a mustang. Now now don't have a cow. It was older late 90s early 2000 model. He asked for it. Light turned green he followed reving and poking and 3 honks later adios amigo........

SPOHN 02-10-2011 08:30 PM

I prepared my lift, jacks, tools, and parts tonight. Ready to install my sways, SPC kit, spacers, and coilovers (which should arrive before lunch tomorrow). I also have coming in tomorrow GTM test pipes and oil cooler. Bright and early for me.

Baer383 02-10-2011 09:33 PM

I put some cf hood shocks on.

Svre46 02-12-2011 03:45 PM

Moved it a few feet to avoid flat spots on the tires. I then put in the cabin air filter and GTR start/stop button in. A few more weeks and I can get it back I the road.

SPOHN 02-12-2011 03:47 PM

I lowered my girl today. Check it out.

Cleaning the Z's

EazyD 02-12-2011 08:38 PM

Took 2 feet of snow+ice off the top of the Z and slid around on ice in front of my rear passenger wheel. 2 hours to get it out and clean it off.

BUT-- Then I drove it 35 miles :) First time since all the snow fell!

Mt Tam I am 02-13-2011 10:25 AM

So far today I've been out to get a VD :rofl2:card and some chocolate. Had some fun since the bicyclists were not up yet. I plan on washing the Z later today even if it is supposed to rain tomorrow.

kenchan 02-13-2011 12:22 PM

Nothing today but by next weekend I might be able to pull them out. :D

onzedge 02-13-2011 12:28 PM

Today, she got a nice bath and interior clean, then covered up for bed while I travel this week.

PapoZalsa 02-13-2011 08:06 PM

Start it for 5 minutes.

Mr. Q 02-13-2011 11:13 PM

Was a busy day for me; I installed the Z1 undershroud, aluminum pedals and gave the car a full detail. I think I was outside for seven hours, luckily it was a beautiful day today.

Trips 02-14-2011 01:23 AM

I washed it, and took pics with new wheels

How do you like the undershroud? I really like mine.

I think its great and that trap door is a godsend. I always do my own oil changes so those two bolts alone were worth the money. I was considering having it painted to match the body color.

SPOHN 02-14-2011 09:59 AM

I will be loading my Z up and taking it to get corner balanced and aligned.

98intrigue 02-14-2011 10:08 AM

I had my 3rd set of front shocks installed, rear camber arms and toe bolts installed, had the car aligned, and washed mine on Saturday.

:iagree: I installed my ZSpeed undershroud when I changed the oil a couple of weeks ago. Here are pictures with the undershroud installed for those who haven't seen one.

Thanks! I think it is a excellent mod, especially for those who change their own oil. Z1 had a group buy going on for them too. That's where I got mine.

kenchan 02-14-2011 12:45 PM

zpirate- so did they make the oil filter/plug access opening bigger than original? i thought it was much smaller in the proto picts i saw somewhere. that looks good.

trips- dayam!

ZPirate 02-14-2011 01:49 PM

Kenchan, I'm not aware of there being more than one version of the ZSpeed 370Z undershroud. There are two versions for the 350Z though. Version 2 being the improved version.

i see. thanks for the info. the pict i saw had a much smaller service hole than the one you have so thought that was a big improvement.

now you wont need to remove like 16 screws just to access the filter and plug. :D

Vegitto-kun 02-14-2011 02:21 PM

lets see drove it around.

spend 110 euro on cleaning products.

started cleaning at 4:30 PM stopped now at 9:22 PM

washed, foam washed, clayed, waxed, cleaned rims and exhaust, leather cleaning products on the inside, used products to refresh all the plastic in the car.

only thing that I couldn't get done were the windows, used degreaser/windows cleaner products still leaving marks and stuff.

The trap door is more than adequate enough to change the filter and plug.
