I was just worried that the "meat" would stick out too far and over the rim. Also, theoretically, wouldn't handling be affected somewhat? (though maybe miniscule), since now you would have more "give" and "flex" in the tire, not supported by the rim??? granted it's only 10mm..... |

Holy crap, I go to a meeting and there are two pages... I can't keep up. My head hurts. :eekdance: I will have to catch up later. Right now I need to figure out how to get the roadster in to the one place around that will mount my wheels. I had everything lined up over the weekend but parts/tires came later than expected. Hmmmm, need to take the afternoon off and go get the Xterra from the wife's work.
|
beach- make sure the place has a NO-TOUCH mounting machine. most place WILL damage your sport wheels during the removal and mounting process.

Yeah Im pretty happy with what I got for them. Had em up for $1500. Got $1400. Felt kinda bad, sold them to a guy from Brooklyn who got his jacked. Felt like I was robbing him again but he seemed happy with the price. Got an appointment at the tuner next Tues for an alignment. This extra cash is tempting me to tell them to UpRev it.

+1 on the wheel sale. geeze.
|
most ive seen on ebay that were in great condition were near $3k with tires....but that's a pretty rediculous price.
i think 1500 is about right but most folks will only offer 900-1000... so considering that, 1400 is  |

Received two separate and completely unsolicited compliments on my Z today! One from a dude that was going into the restaurant I ate at during lunch, and the other was a workmate that saw her for the first time! I had been having a crappy day up 'til then!
Also saw a white 370 not two mile from my house! So unusual to see other triple-seven-dees! |
Worst injury seperated ribs. Landing a jump my second day with the blades. The landing was all ice and went down. Ofcourse there was ski patrol "Are you OK ?" I'm fine just have to catch my breath. (Hell no I cannot breath). LOL Man did it hurt. Every bump and I could feel it between my ribs. Never went to the hospital and fell a couple weeks later and they went back inplace. Oh I continued skiing for those two weeks. I always wear a helment and ski jacket with pants. :ugh2: Only broken bone was my ring finger on my right hand playing softball. Played rugby for 4 years in the Marines and never got a broken bone.:owned:

Congrats Happy. One of the really nice things about our cars is that people like them and you don't run into another one everyday.:ughdance:

Still running the original tyres. 15,000 miles. The fronts are fine but the rears are not long for this world - they're about down to the wear bars. Had to put some tyres on the wife's car this week... Tire Rack is gonna be loving me this month. |

I like Snowshoe too. We went to Wisp in Maryland last year and had a blast. First time I had been there. I haven't strapped planks on since the first day I boarded. I am not a hotdog, but I have fun and go home less tired and sore than I did skiing.
Luna- I actually used DTD this time for my rears. Less that 500 to the door. Happy- nice to hear. I could have used that today. :) |

What'd I do with Zena.... Took her for a short spirited errand drive to Thiesen's to get some cable ties (in the event I need to put front plates on). I park up front and the I see a bunch of Thiesen's workers come out and stand by the door, pretending to look somewhere else. Then as I go to another entrance, they are all checking out my car. I felt like a damn celebrity...... lol.... all that for just merely driving a Nissan. :D Gotta love the Z and the styling.
Then I got home, let it sit a bit, then checked the oil again (checked it before I drove too), and all is still normal, with no burning, 100 miles since this weekend. Whew.... (still knocking on wood) |
Sounds like fun, G2Z! yah just keep checking the oil every other time you drive and check while the engine is cold. :)

^ makes me wonder...... will my oil level GO DOWN from me merely checking my dipstick!?!?!?! LOL. That would give me false info.... hehe...
I probably checked it like 20 times already since end of last week........ :ugh: |
