well if we mix apples and oranges and tomatoes and a few others we do get our V8!

There's no chance you'd see me in a Mustang. I do, however, love the Mach-1's, but it's definitly not worth to trade in a Z. And why on EARTH do people always talk about hp? I don't know where yall are from but there is something called a "Speed Limit" in Jerzey. Not saying thats the only place to drive is on the streets, but I know I wouldn't be spending every day at the track just becuz I have a V8 Mustang..or car for that matter. The Z is enough of a car for me

Man I just came back from NJ for work and man do I hate to drive there. No left hand turns, WTF? Damn jug handles. Makes me like the wide open space of TX.

Yes! Cars are my passion... I don't care what kind it is.

There are too many brand whores and status queens these days... so many people here think the Z is the king of the world forever and ever. Somehow this car that can be had for less than 30k is "exclusive." Yeah, right.

lets face it, if money was no object and all you had to do was go pick out your car, I dont think there would be too many people in this forum.

I think a quite a few folks here do hang out over at NAGTROC. If what the recent buyers have been saying is true, you can get a new 2010 GTR for $70K -72K plus tx and fees since the 2011 have been out already. So for Cali, that's roughly about $78K otd. Pretty tempting.

I know I should get my head examined, oh well.

Here's a thought to make matters even more convoluted:

There's another thread right now discussing the possibility of a 2.5L V6 in a detuned Z. If Nissan offered a smaller displacement V6 like a new 3.0 or up to a 3.5 with direct injection and a factory turbo, I would definitely take this over a Mustang V8. Globs of torque and HP and the Z handling and fit and finish. Considering all the Germans are so heavily into turbos it's kind of curious why Nissan won't go this route.

Here's the video of Evo performance and what they did with the stang in less than two weeks.

YouTube - Evolution Performance - First 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V To Run 11's!

The first runs are bone stock. And with the ET streets the mods are
Exhaust, Tune, K&N Drop in Air Filter, upper and lower control arms and a new clutch.

Yes. They ran 11s with those bolt ons. And with street tires, they trap much higher than the 370z. So those stop light runs won't be as close as you may think. On the track? Well we just have to wait and see. They handle very well.
