I think what they meant was that the crash was a result of the confluence of the brake pad wear and the fluid boiling. Worn pads led to fluid boiling which in turn led to smacking the wall.

My 2004 Touring Coupe was purchased by her original owner in November of 2003. I guess it varies by geographical area. Greetings. BTW, anticipation makes it all the more exciting!

Yeah, unless you buy your Z from a dealership in West Virginia (where the family tree looks more like a wreath). Then you're SOL, 'cuz 'best looking' is all relative (no pun intended).

Update to my "Page 113" post, I'm guessing the editions vary by region if Semtex and Dad didn't see what I saw on Pg 113. Wow, C&D actually had something nice to say (gas mileage). If their car had a BMW roundel on it, no doubt it would be their car of the year or something.

No, our editions are the same. I too have this blurb on pg. 113. But what we were discussing earlier was their admission that their brake failure was due to the pads being worn down to the backing plates, which in turn led the fluid to boil. You said it was on page 113. But as your scan clearly shows, the blurb on page 113 has nothing to do with the brake failure issue. Rather, it references their oil cooler blowing up.

So (back on topic), when do we expect to hear more info about the 2011 Z? I've seen a couple of mentions of "configurable gauges" similar to the GT-R -- if that pans out I'm going to have major 2011-envy!
