When will info about the 2011 come out?
Colors, changes, etc.
Some companies are starting to release their changes (Ford, Subaru). When does Nissan start hyping up the next years model. I know, it's only a quarter of the way through 2010 but I'm just curious. |
That is funny. I was ABOUT to make this thread as well.
2011 Ford Mustang GT vs 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS vs 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Comparison - Motor Trend After reading this, I really hope Nissan brings its A-game to the table. The Ford Mustang basically has beaten the Camaro and the Challenger at their own game by successfully winning the acceleration, lateral acceleration (0.97 G I think), braking, etc... Nissan, make the 2011 370Z even better please! |
please nissan don't make it much better. else I will cry

i'd like to see nissan pull out DI... with 10% more power and 10% more fuel efficiency... it'd be like walking up to the mustang and flopping out a massive wang... |

i'm curious if they'll have engine upgrades every few years like the 350 did. Willing to bet they probably wont just so they wont have something to compete with the Nismo sales.
|
It would be nice if they bumped up the HP/TQ to the Nismo ratings for 2011. FTW!

I am sure Nissan will throw out more HP and torque for the 2011, will the Nismo make the 2011 cut though? Also, for Nissan it is not 100% about track times it seems, they will use little things to sell it as a new model sort of like 2010.

and as stated before the DI makes for a heavily deposited engine. I think Modshack had thrown a pic up before of the inside of the engine for a DI and it was nasty. So DI will give you gains at first but after awhile the build up will take them back.

^^ Here we go again……2 seat sports car vs. 4 seat muscle car!

Speaking of C&D, the June issue will have an update of the Nismo track incident. Apparently they finally admit it was not brake "failure". Seems the pads were worn down to the plates and they boiled the brake fluid. Question remains, were the pads worn when they received the car? If so, this highly publicized incident was very damaging to the brand and Nissan should sue their asses if this was the case. :stirthepot: |
I dont care for that 2 seat vs 4 seat argument. I just went to the NY auto show yesterday. sat in the gt500, and the camaro, and a bunch of other 4 seat sports cars, and those seats are USELESS. no one would ever want to sit in them. I'd rather have 2 seats and more storage space or shorter wheelbase/car than 2 feet of useless backseat.

Since nobody here has answered your actual question, I'll tell you what I know. With the 350z, it was my understanding that the new ones came out every year in January. So an 07 came out in January of 2007. I'm not 100% positive, but this is what my dealer told me when I was buying my 350z. Nissan put out the 2009 370z in January. However the roadster came out in Septemberish, if I remeber correctly, as a 2010 model. I think we will know more after 2010 on how nissan will cycle through. I'm curious to see if they bring out the 2011 roadster in September or if they wait until January to bring everything out. Either way, I wouldn't expect to hear about the next model year until late this year.
