Took the car to work today and on the way home (2 lane hwy 65MPH) I roll up behind a stock UGLY VW Golf. He starts douching around changing speeds and now cars are passing us on the right (I CAN'T STAND THIS). Then he throws something out his moonroof which nearly clips my car, he's lucky it was a wrapper and not something more solid. So I get fed up and while in 6th give it gas and pass him on the right. I accidentally realize I'm doing 100 and ease up now that I put some distance between us. Sure enough he rolls up and starts pacing and leading a bit. This crap just pisses me off. Like what's the point of pacing me? I don't like cars driving directly besides me no matter what! Even when I'm in my Jeep. I look over (which I usually don't do) just because I want to see these goofs and laugh in their face. 2 dudes in the car looking dead ahead all serious. I just shook my head and slowed up to 60MPH and they couldn't take it anymore. I resisted because I'm still babying her during break-in but I just don't understand why people need to feel the urge to drive like idiots around the Z. It's an amazing night and day difference when I drive the Z and the Jeep. Sometimes it's just nice to drive around in the Jeep and not draw so much attention.

Let me get this straight. You are "babying her during break-in" and running 100mph fast-and-furious all at the same time. OK then. The Golf is a good-looking car, btw. Was it a GTI?

I have been staying under 4k and not running at WOT and granny shifting since day 1. You know you are under 4k in 6th when your are doing 100? And in my defense I hardly pressed the gas down. I'm sure you know the difference between 75-100mph is probably about 1/8" pedal depression. And the Golf looks like an 80's hi-top sneaker. It wasn't a GTI either. Looked like some base model. Maybe L/A gear or British Knights

Granny shifting? you should be double clutching. You better watch it or you will blow the welds on the intake.

Damn that movie got everyone thinking its 100% true...

Had a guy at a light a few months back ask me if my car was the new Z. He asked what the number was and told me it looked like a Porsche.

oh yes some days ago me and my mom were at the lights and a M3 stops next to us and starts looking at the car and I have a easy way to get my mom going.

"mom he is looking at us in a bad way"

she revved the **** out of the GT-R in neutral which got the M3 going.

what does she do?

not just blast off.

nooo race race VDC off.

foot on brake and foot on the throttle.

she launch controlled the **** out of the GT-R and RAPED the M3.

it was awesome

Hah. Nice.

My mom had a 69 Camaro, and there was ONE single time she drove it "spiritedly" - I remember being shocked, but I was also young and not even into cars then really.

my mom is awesome.

she drives harder and faster than my dad. if anybody looks at her and she doesn't like it she likes to own their asses.

even with the megane CC

somebody looked at her while passing her and she flew past him at 120

also she drives stick like a pro

I had somebody pull up along side me in an early 2000s Mustang GT on the freeway last night. I ignored him and his engine revving until he sped off ahead of me, showing the freeway traffic what a huge penis he had.

10 minutes or so later, I hit traffic. As I crawled forwards, I could smell a terrible smell and the air was growing thick with smoke. I eventually discovered what it was. It turns out that racer guy had decided he wanted to stop racing and instead take to his feet because his car was on fire.

BTW, i'll be selling the MoTec System exhaust I have on my GS-T, i'll be posting it on ebay with a $12,000 USD reserve, i mean, with race wars around the corner, these things have to go for a premium.

So since it was nice out the past couple days all I did was drive around. Got tumbs up from Miatas to 911s to Peterbuilts. The security gaurd at the bank walked outside and stood next to my car while I was inside, then bsed for 15 minutes about the car. Felt big pimpin' with a security gaurd next to my car.

So in the last few days I've started to get the feeling that the VW GTi tuner crowd is pretty hostile.

On a side note, after having the car for a year (holy crap!) It still gets just as many double takes as when it was brand new, and children's reactions to a bright red sports car are just priceless.
