Default Tall Racers - Helmets hitting the roof?

I haven't been to the track yet with the Z, but decided to try out wearing my helmet in the Z. I'm 6' and if I sit up straight my helmet touches the roof... anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to lower the base model seats even lower? Or is the only option aftermarket seats?

Have you tried reclining the seat further back?
Seems like taller owners usually drive with the seat reclined further than most shorter owners.

I'm 5'11" and have done two track days. My helmet touches the roof too. It drove me nuts for the first 10 minutes, but then you'll be so engrossed in driving that you forget about it. The problem with reclining further is that you mess up your driving position and our stupid steering wheels don't telescope. I suppose aftermarket seats would be one solution. Cutting a sunroof like someone did a while back would be another.

I have done a few HPDE's in my Z and yes my helmet touches the roof. I am 6'2 but I have learned to compromise my desired seating position for one that will fit not only myself but my helmet as well. Here is what I did to combat the seating issues. I brought the seat forward to give me extra room for the lean. Angled the seat base back dropping my butt a little lower on the touring seats. I then angled the seatback a lil further back giving me a little more room... just enough for my helmet to clear.

I prefer a more up right position but this one is working out for me
