I actually measure it in time, i.e. I get two weeks out of a tankful (I don't trust the MPG gauge in my Z). Then again, I live only 9.5 miles (15.30 kilometers) from work, so I don't put too many miles on my beaZt; she's a 2004 Touring Coupe and only has 25,595k on her. Greetings!

On the day that i picked up the car, my salesman gave me a full tank of gas. I went with him to fill it up. It's $50 USD. ($3.10 per gallon) and the tank was already 1/4 full.

I almost fainted. Gas money per month is the same as car payment for me.

According to my GasCubby app (iPhone) my max MPG is 22.04 with an average of 18.61. This is with 26 fill-ups and 8,143 miles. I average 48.76 miles per day and this puts me at 15 cents per mile.

This info does include my most recent weekend at the track where I averaged 9.85 MPG.

I'm lucky to hit 16 mpg on a regular basis. I don't really care though.

Fuel economy? Tell that to my right foot

Frankly, never looked at it or bothered with it. Car throws the signal "empty tank" and I fill it up and drive like this until the next fill up.

When my dad was in hospital (October 2008 for 25 days), I used to fill up EVERY 3 days! That's $55 dollars EVERY 3 days religiously

I average $80.00/month on gas expenses--I fill up every week; on average, $40.00, equivalent to about ½ a tank.

you fill up every week @40 bucks. but you spend $80/month? how many weeks do you have in your month :P

i spend about $35-40 a week, so, that's about $160 a month. in my old car, i'd spend about 30 a week tops, so not too much of a change.

I never worry about the MPG, especially in a Sport car. Just drive the car and enjoy it!

Yeah but it's my daily driver as well. The fuel economy thing wasn't a major issue, else i would have got the 1.8L turbo audi TT... but still i thought i'd be able to beat the offical rating and save some money.

My 370 (manual, touring, not sport) averages around 19 miles per g. I do mostly street, with minor highway or interstate. Highway i seen it range in the 22s, but thats me flying 95mph so i'm sure better gas mileage is possible. But like everyone else said, its a sports car so who cares.

I seem to average 18 mpg with regular driving, which for me is nothing but highway gridlock. Weekend fuel economy is in the lower 20s.

Highway mileage in this car is very good -- I can pull about 28mpg average on a highway trip that takes me through the mountains. I'm sure a flat run (say out to Chicago) would take it over 30.

Default 370z touring 6 speed

After reading all the threads it appears I am doing something very much different than the rest, perhaps it is because I really don't have a heavy foot, or keep my tires inflated to 35psi and really do little in town driving, but the up to 30mpg highway I earlier stated is no exaggeration and not a computer number but a real world gas consumption calculation. I sometimes get less than 30 mpg but this is due to more in town driving.

I live in a small Pennsylvania town with little or no rush hour traffic to mention and this must help somewhat

My machine, weather permitting, is used primarily for highway cruising at 55-60 mph or an occasional interstate jaunt. I mostly try to cruise the winding state roads as they are a much more fun to drive.

rmhockman, cruising at 55-60 is the Z's sweet spot. Using the "real time" mileage monitor on the computer, I know my mpg rating is highest at 55-65mph, usually around 30mpg. its the stop and go traffic that really kills the mileage, so if there's a lot of city driving, you're going to get horrible mileage.

consider yourself lucky to have little traffic
