Bought the Pinch weld blocks, works great, but hard to line up in slot. Just go slow. I'm gonna try taping on car first and see if it holds long enough to bring QJ up to them. I use small block+Pinch block.

PSA: Don't use the Quickjack on a plastic tiled floor, one side was ejected..

This post from my37.com is a little scary:

That happened bc the OP didn't use a pinch weld block - which QJ sells - to lift the car. And the block was misaligned.

Default 370Z lifting setup

Here's my solution for lifting the 370Z to maximum height with a Quick Jack style hoist. I really like this type of hoist in my home garage for maintenance and cleaning. It was really worth it for me. Cheers!

interesting. I use the supplied smaller block under the pinch weld block.. and a sheet or two of 1/4 plywood under all that to ensure the blocks are flush with the lifting points before I raise her up.

Pro-tip - wrap the pinch weld blocks with hi-viz tape, and have a tape pennant running off each one. That way you don't drive off with the blocks still on the pinch welds.

Alternative (but more expensive) provides 26 inches of lift and no concern of the car shifting forward in the environment as the lift goes up, it's a straight up lift and provides full side access (not for everyone)

I have no stake in it's sales (both units have strengths and weaknesses)

Oooh I like that one... optional caster set seems pretty slick, too.

Great thought! You would never see them once the car was back on the ground and likely would lose it. Good tip.

Thanks! Came up with it after I took the Z to the grocery and saw the blocks still on the rails walking across the parking lot lol
