Default Stillen Gen 3 Intakes

I’m getting mixed opinions on this topic and need to get some facts....do I HAVE to get my Z tuned after installing those intakes? I just watched a few videos of people installing them which included them removing the front bumper and enlarging the front core mount holes. They also mentioned a tune is needed but the Stillen website said it isn’t required. HELP!

I just installed a set on my Z. There was no Tune required. I did put the car into the ECU relearn mode though after the install.

Follow Rustys advice above this comment. And as for the hole cutting, it's easy. Just take a dremel and have at it. You'll never see it. What isn't mentioned often, is to wrap either the intake or the ac lines from rubbing against one another with foam, tape, or whatever is soft enough to handle rubbing.

The A/C line on the driver's side. Get a piece of 1/2" fuel line about 2" long. Slice it and put over the A/C line where the tube goes through the radiator support. Zip tie or tape it in place so that the 2 lines don't touch.

Yeah, enlarging the holes in the radiator support is a easy job.
I installed the CAI and a Fast Intentions CBE at the same time and my car
was pre-detonating ( pinging ) like crazy so I re-set the ECU and it was all good. I think it was able to breath suddenly and the car needed to richen up.
It has been good ever since.

One other thing I did with the CAI was cut the extra horn stud off on the Driver side of the car. you'll see it when you go to put the filter on. Mine was stabbing the air filter so I just removed it.

If you buy a new kit it comes with these hoses to do this.
