Throwing a big deck a foot or two above hatch, we can assume it does generate some downforce (and hopefully not lifting force), otherwise it wouldn’t have snapped like that. But for darn sure there ain’t no real stress test done on it, to guarantee functionality and safety.

Should be a warning sticker out back “follow me at your own risk”.

OP, best of luck. Time to invest in some real deal wings.
