GPS and XM will not be affected from any tint you do because the antenna in on the roof.

I'd like to add that on my Evo, we had to install the XM transmitter ourselves to an aftermarket head unit and the antenna was placed on the rear deck, right by the rear windshield that had 5% tint. I've never had any issues getting signal.
