Just ordered Trackspec Hood vents!

abm89 08-09-2019 09:53 PM

I have mostly completed the install of the Z1 fog light tonight. I just got too tired out in the heat, so it was better to just shower and complete the job tomorrow.

The running light and reverse light are connected. I just need to run the wires for the "brake" light, which will be used more as a traditional fog light. I have a on-off-on switch that will have one setting for static and another for a constant flash)

On top of that, I was able to verify my multi-meter is working. I got some sort of resistance measurement for the "passenger off" light that had the harness yanked off. I'll took one of the 100 resistors I bought for the new seat install and soldered it onto some wire so I can connect it tomorrow. Hopefully that will allow the SRS system to think the notification light is present.

How? Lolol i had a few photo tolls on my zdayz trip and didnt get anything. Bridge toll. Road toll.

I forgot to pull out my transponder for a 407 drive during rushhour... 6 dollet toll. 5 admin fee. 3 for cameta fee + tax. Ended up paying like shy of 16 bucks. Saved me 30 solid minutes though

The stealer ship told me I'm halfway through the thread life. I only have a little over 6,250 miles on my 370 Z from the day we got. Not a great day...

12.5k isnt terrible for oem rears. Maybe some all seasons may be more apt for your ride, budget and expectations.

Rusty 08-13-2019 07:06 AM

I get about 10,000 out of my rears. Sometimes a lot less if I do a lot of trackdays.

I'll probably switch to all seasons because summer only tires SUCK in the rain...:eek:

Too many times this season I've been caught in sudden downpours from 'pop-up' thunderstorms. The car is squirrelly as hell in that kind of stuff...:eekdance::eekdance:

I am barely over 12000 km (7500 miles) and i am at my wear bars on the inside and bit over on outside for the rears on oem.

Also put in an order for indy 500s for the rears. Need some burners for end of season and leading into most of next year. Had to opt for a shop that charged 10 bucks more per tire since they are open on Saturday

abm89 08-13-2019 10:22 AM

I feel weird being the only person in here getting 20K out of my tires. I've been running on Conti extreme contacts for street tires. (they're also excellent in the rain)

Zezus 08-13-2019 10:35 AM

Actually i got about 20k out of my pilot sport as3+ so this makes sense.

JLarson 08-13-2019 12:25 PM

Over 13k on my Michelin P4S, and still decent amount left on the rears. But I don't do much hard launching, and I haven't been to the track, so I'm sure that's a factor.

I get about 35-40k on my Michelin pilot sport a/s 3 rears. Currently 55k+ on the fronts and going strong.

That seems about right. I should have made it clear the ExtremeContact Sports are summer tires and not all season.

I have never had a problem. Use it as a practice season for making your inputs smoother.

Contis for life. The summers are excellent, all-season are great, and when I had Conti snows on my 350Z I'd take it out into 4-inch deep fresh powder just to see the awestruck faces of people standing on the interstate shoulder while their "all wheel drive" cuckmobile was getting winched out of the median...

Got a detail done

JARblue 08-19-2019 06:16 PM

Getting frustrated with the Z not starting. Been through the entire starter circuit. Checked the brake and clutch switches. Tested a few dozen fuses and a handful of relays. Everything seems to be good. Yet I still just get a loud click when trying to start the car.

Background is I tried installing a Stebel horn. Got it installed and tested and it seemed to work fine. But something was draining because after a few days the horn wasn't blowing normal and the car wouldn't start. Unplugged the horn and car still won't start.
