So I'll just measure the resistance needed and substitute a resistor for the actual light since fixing that connector is more effort than bypassing it. Quick note about the Yaw sensor switch, If you want to re-enable the sensor, you need to have it in the ON position before starting the car. Otherwise, it wont work or clear itself out.

I have a new fog light I got from Z1 a while back, but I need to re-buy the mounting hardware as I have no idea where it went. (likely the recycling center with the rest of my stock parts.) I have a three-way rocker switch for that one (on-off-flash)

If you need a resistor let me know. I have some extras laying around from when I installed my racing seats.

Well the problem is finding the appropriate resistance across the passenger light module, not the airbag itself. My multimeter won't read it (registers "overloaded") So I'll have my dad (licensed electrical engineer) check it out and see if I'm just an idiot or if there is something else I'll have to do.

Alternatively, if someone has a spare clip with the wires intact, I can just make a new connection.

Today it's parked at home because I remembered how much I hate the attention it draws.

If you don't go HAM, you should be able to get 20K out of tires. However, OEM compounds are designed to wear away fast. So, I'm not shocked.

That's seriously impressive! I definitely want to attempt a crazy trip like that, which brings me to my post:

Seriously considering pulling the trigger on some braum reclining seats (street use only) I'll still keep my FIA bucket for the track, but damn it would be nice to get in and out of the car without high thigh bolsters.

Day Two: 11:14 wheel hours; 824 miles. Drove through Utah via US 40 (parts were fun) and I 80 (mountains were sick AF.) Drove through Nevada via I 80, US 95, and NV 140. Went through Sheldon NWR, crossed into Oregon, and was immediately greeted by a thunderstorm, a loose gravel road, and an 8% grade down 2,000 ft. with large-ish rocks on the road.

Oh, and you can't pump your own gas here.

Pulled in for gas near the hotel for the night and some yellow-toothed, neck-tatted former meth addict walked up and said "I have to pump your gas." I was like "uhh.. thanks, but I'm not gay?"

Drove the Z to my buddies house, then left it there to drive the 650s Can Am to Rally for the Ranch in Columbus. Gonna be weird getting back in the Z after this.

Day Three: 11:26 wheel-hours; 582 mi. Met a fellow Z owner and forum member, briefly and coincidentally, at a drive-in burger joint in Bend, OR, but didn't catch his handle. I like how you are doing this with a physical map. You should frame it when you finish the trip and hang it in the garage or something. Dunno if you're headed to Texas, but if you stop in one of the major cities let us know.
---------------
Saturday, I took the car for a wash, noticed the new grille mesh came loose. So, fixed that, decided to polish the headlights, and went ahead and did a quick polish on the pitted front bumper. It looks moderately ok now.

Thanks! I actually have two paper atlases in which I record every road I've ever driven, and the times from various points A to B. Next goal is to find a 6' x 9' map of America, record those routes, and put the damn thing on a wall in my dining room lol

Day Four: 10:25 wheel-hours; 613 miles. Grand Coulee Dam (pictured below) was a beautiful drive. Mt. Rainer, not so much. Was stuck behind a douched-out Mustang who wanted to race, and when I declined, spent 50 minutes working his fart-pipes, yet never once exceeded the speed limit. Didn't want to pass because I knew, for an absolute certainty, that he'd end up crashing into me if I did. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5ebb8a2908.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ca24110c62.jpg

Awesome man this needs a journal!

Ive done a few long distance road trips with the squeeze. Safety was always priority. Yea we got spirited on the tail, open stretches windy stretches and exercised the fast rowing but at the end of the day i still had to get back home.

Its also interesting to see the different folk. Every county/township is different. Keep up the driving! You need to frame that map and add physical print outs and pin them to the map!

BettyZ 07-29-2019 07:02 PM

Day Five: 7:01 wheel-hours; 321 miles. Truncated day; drove to the most northwestern (Go 'Cats!) point in the lower 48. Had to get out and hike to the actual point because there's no road access (which is some serious b.s. if you ask me.) Then some jackass crashed his car at the top of a hill. Spent 33 minutes in the resulting traffic jam stopping and going, up a hill. Said f it after that and got on a ferry to Everett. Tomorrow will be longer, faster, and harder. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...df9d58ecc9.jpg

I just reattached one of the whatever the things are right in front of the front tires (some kind of guard?) after my wife pulled up too far in a parking spot and hit the parking curb. At least she had the sense to retrieve it. It was somehow intact (made out rubber?). Does anyone know the actual function of these things? There's two, each marked left and right respectively.

Air deflection.

Air deflection, or to make Nissan beaucoup $$$ when you hit a concrete parking thingie.

Yeah those move the air around the tires. I'm actually looking to replace mine even though they will eventually break again.

I wouldn't blame her. Them sh!ts don't last.

This happened the other day, but I'll post it here anyway. I may have f*cked one of my calipers by going too hard on a bleeder valve. The repair kit comes today, so wish me luck.

Drove in today. Drizzle. Get out of car and it dumped rain.

And then rest of week is sunny. Dammit man my car!!!

Day Six: 10:36 wheel-hours; 612 miles. I-5, US 2, US 97, I-90, I-405, I-5, WA 20 to Colville. WA 20 through Cascades National Park was epic. Just the right mix of curves, twists, sweeps, and straightaways.

Interesting experience on US 97, which was a 2-lane through the mountains... I was passing a chitty rental camper at WOT and my V1 Valentine started screaming 8 and 9 KA-band hits from in front, sides, and back. Happened three more times over the course of 30 miles when I went WOT to pass someone. Thinking, aircraft patrol?

If it was, I'm flattered.
